NVIDIA IS BUILDING THE BOUNDARIES OF AUTONOMOUS AI. BUT WHAT EXAMINES THE DECISIONS THAT LEAD AN AI AGENT TO THOSE BOUNDARIES?
@NVIDIA — Jensen Huang’s introduction of the OpenShell Reference Architecture raises an important question about the future of intelligent systems.
OpenShell is designed to establish operational boundaries for AI agents and stop them when those boundaries are crossed.
That is an important engineering advancement.
But there is another dimension worth investigating:
Can an intelligent operation be examined structurally, from its originating conditions through its transitions to execution, identifying precisely where its implementation departs from what was established?
I am Konan P. Basargin, founder of Archeogenesis LLC.
Our research began with the recognition of a foundational sequence. It has since progressed into a measurable AI protocol, a YAML-based runtime, and Python-based execution, evaluation, and diagnostic tooling.
WE DID NOT STOP AT FORMULATING THE THEORY. WE BUILT AN EXECUTABLE IMPLEMENTATION AND CHALLENGED IT.
In a paid evaluation, we executed 2,000 precommitted synthetic adversarial cases against an AI model.
The initial automated record:
1,959 passes.
41 flagged cases.
97.95% automatic pass rate.
The most consequential part of our work was not the initial percentage.
IT WAS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN WE EXAMINED THE 41 EXCEPTIONS.
Our Python diagnostics identified discrepancies involving transition verdicts, return-layer selection, and structural ordering.
Rather than rewriting the underlying protocol to fit the results, we investigated where the implementation’s instructions required greater explicitness.
The protocol remained unchanged.
Following those refinements, our development work reached a reported 100% result in subsequent testing on October 21, 2026. The scope and independent semantic verification of that result remain to be established publicly.
Now consider the connection to OpenShell.
An operational boundary can stop an agent from proceeding. But can an examination protocol help establish why its decision process reached that boundary, which structural condition failed, and where reexamination should begin?
That is the problem Archeogenesis is investigating.
We are not proposing a replacement for NVIDIA’s hardware, OpenShell, or existing AI models.
We are investigating whether an independently examinable structural protocol can complement those technologies without replacing their architectures.
The distinction matters:
Enforcing a boundary governs what an agent may do.
Examining the conditions leading to execution investigates whether the process was justified in the first place.
To NVIDIA’s engineers, AI researchers, and the broader technology community:
We welcome rigorous independent examination, including attempts to falsify our protocol’s claims.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly autonomous, its capacity to act must be accompanied by equally serious methods for examining the conditions under which it acts.
The Discovery Before Everything.

只关心跑得快不快;
Agent
Okta is proud to be a part of the @nvidia OpenShell ecosystem to advance AI security at the infrastructure level.
Today, NVIDIA announced the NVIDIA OpenShell Reference Architecture for safe AI agents, which combines controls, accelerated computing, and independent security enforcement in an open architecture.
Together, we’re collaborating on how to extend identity, authorization, and governance into the agent runtime, helping sandboxed AI agents operate securely across the full AI stack.
Securing the next era of enterprise AI.
We're excited to collaborate with @nvidia on the launch of the OpenShell Reference Architecture. By combining F5 AI Guardrails with NVIDIA’s hardware-enforced boundaries, we're ensuring AI agents stay safely within their sandbox.
The part worth copying isn't the hardware. It's where the guard sits. OpenShell checks every request outside the agent's reach, so tricking the agent isn't enough to cross the line. If your agent can edit its own allowlist, you don't have a boundary. You have a suggestion.
think on rubin, act on vera, governed on bluefield. the part i like: the guardrail lives outside the agent, down in the silicon, so the agent can't rewrite it
AI agents need strong security and clear boundaries. OpenShell helps businesses keep AI actions under control. Building trust is essential for scaling AI responsibly.
A safer AI future starts with security by design.
AI agents are only as safe as the limits around them. Setting clear boundaries on what an agent can touch, and being able to stop it when it steps outside them, is what will let businesses move agents from pilots into real work.
As AI agents become more autonomous, security needs to be built into the infrastructure powering them.
NVIDIA's new OpenShell Reference Architecture helps make this possible, with Arm-based Vera CPUs powering agent execution and BlueField DPUs supporting isolation and policy enforcement.
Buyers pay to cap downside, not make agents smarter. Nvidia earns when every enterprise agent needs a policy layer and accelerator stack. “Securing” is a liability product with GPUs attached.
We are glad to announce our plans to work with @nvidia to explore the potential of the OpenShell Reference Architecture to enable new approaches to AI agent safety, security and governance. The collaboration is part of our strategy to scale the use of AI agents across the organization while maintaining oversight and control. 🤝🌐

Two parts of NVIDIA's OpenShell design worth copying, DPU or not:
The Supervisor that checks outbound requests and brokers credentials runs outside the sandbox.
A policy prover checks each policy's permissions against an org-set ceiling.
Keep the guard out of the agent's reach.
An agent that goes wrong shouldn’t be able to erase the explanation.
NVIDIA’s proposed Sentry design keeps audit evidence outside the host’s control.
My test: can you reconstruct the failure after the machine itself is compromised?
#IA #AgentesIA xitter.cf/nvidia/status/21128472…
