What we witnessed today was extraordinary. A massive convoy of emergency vehicles traveled west on I 10 just east of Tallahassee, heading directly toward communities devastated by Hurricane Isaias. The storm struck near Destin as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 105 mph, leaving widespread destruction and hundreds of thousands without power across the Florida Panhandle and surrounding states. This was more than a line of flashing lights. It was help on the way. It was courage, compassion, service, and hope moving toward people who need it most. To every first responder, National Guard member, utility worker, law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, volunteer, and emergency worker answering the call, thank you. While others move away from danger, you move toward it. Please keep the Panhandle, every affected family, and every responder in your prayers. Share this video so the nation can witness what courage and service look like. Beginning next week, we will once again collect donations and mobilize hurricane relief support alongside our community partners, South Florida law enforcement agencies, Global Empowerment Mission, Cleveland Clinic, and the many dedicated organizations that always answer the call. Together, we will stand with these communities and help bring hope and relief to those who need it most. #HurricaneIsaias #FloridaPanhandle #FloridaStrong #FirstResponders #DisasterResponse #HurricaneRelief #StormRecovery #PrayForFlorida #HelpIsOnTheWay #Tallahassee #DestinFlorida #I10 #GlobalEmpowermentMission #ClevelandClinic #SouthFloridaStrong #CommunityStrong

Hurricane Isaias unleashed such powerful winds off Escambia Bay that the brickwork on the north side of this home in Pensacola was visibly warped.

Eyewall missed me but got blasted by the sting jet. I lost power & couldn’t load radar or anything, I thought maybe the eyewall wobbled this way a bit. Got pretty wild here for about 20-30 min. #Isaias

Just in from @NWSMobile: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about the potential for significantly stronger winds on the western side of the storm and extending farther inland over the next several hours. Do not let your guard down if you are west of the center, damaging winds will be a serious threat.”

I am choosing kindness by phrasing it like this… It is incredibly frustrating to see meteorologists in other areas posting PURE clickbait about Hurricane Isaias. We (those of us actually on the ground in south Alabama and northwest Florida) have people legitimately scared out of their minds and yet it’s all about the clicks and likes for some. For your sake, find someone credible *in your area* that isn’t in it for the quick cash that comes from content creation. It’s been a MAJOR problem with this storm.

BE SAFE if you are a storm chaser. If you have never chased a hurricane, quite frankly, now ain’t the time to start. Trees falling everywhere, a nighttime arrival, DO NOT CHASE or try to get a video. It isn’t worth your life!
CHASERS: If anyone is in need of an area to place cams for storm surge observation, my location offers a few with a boat ramp aswell! #isaias

Clickbait remains a major problem, even in the middle of a potentially dangerous hurricane situation... Some have no regard for the anxiety they cause others. Thankfully, some of us choose a different route.
Why are there certified meteorologists posting AI slop graphics showing a fake SPC outlook for tornadoes and a doomsday hurricane in the Gulf? What're we doing?

🔥Dangerous fire conditions are expected tomorrow as ongoing drought and gusty winds may result in rapidly spreading fires. Please follow guidance of local officials and use extreme caution. Any fires that do start may be difficult to control and spread rapidly. #mobwx

If AMS 2026 has taught me 1 thing about weather comms it’s that we must combat clickbait and misinformation on OFFENSE by calling it out directly. It won’t go away as long as people get rewarded by $. Most dangerous when it comes from large accounts including certain degrees mets
