“For years, people made that Mao meme about him. They laughed at him, shared it everywhere, and turned it into a running joke.
“During all that time, hardly anyone came forward to defend him or questioned why the joke had gone so far.
“Now, Mbappé finally speaks about it and admits that he actually finds the meme funny.
“Suddenly, the same world that laughed at him wants to punish him for his reaction.
“His sponsors are distancing themselves from him, people are demanding apologies, and his reputation is being dragged through the mud.

Et je suis tout à fait d'accord sur le fait que l'ensemble de la carrière n'ait rien à voir là-dedans, d'autant que ce critère a été supprimé par France Football en 2022 si mes souvenirs sont bons.

Après avoir lu vos réactions, impossible de résister à la tentation de vous répondre🍿.
En 2018, vous étiez tous à genoux devant Kylian Mbappé.
Et je vais même aller plus loin : sans lui, sommes-nous champions du monde ?
Personnellement, j’ai de sérieux doutes.
En 2022, lorsqu’il remet quasiment à lui seul l’équipe de France dans une finale qui semblait perdue, vous étiez tous en admiration.
Les mêmes qui, aujourd’hui, lui crachent dessus !
Depuis, on lui fait porter une bonne partie des échecs(le grand méchant loup🐺 ).
Mais ce qui me dérange le plus, c’est cette facilité avec laquelle certains cherchent à minimiser ses qualités de footballeur.
Sa vitesse, sa technique, son efficacité devant le but, sa capacité à faire basculer une rencontre et à répondre présent dans les grands rendez-vous…
Tout cela ne disparaît pas simplement parce que sa personnalité vous déplaît !
Mbappé n’a jamais caché ses ambitions : gagner des titres, battre des records et marquer l’histoire du football.
Cette mentalité de compétiteur, trop rarement assumée à ce niveau en France.
On peut ne pas aimer sa personnalité, sa communication ou certaines de ses attitudes.
Mais remettre en question son talent et ce qu’il représente dans le football mondial, c’est tout autre chose.
Et puis, à vous entendre, je me demande si certains ne préfèrent pas les humiliations aux grandes performances.

Il mérite des critiques quand il passe à côté.
Mais entre critiquer un joueur et chercher systématiquement à le démolir, il y a un monde.
Je vais terminer par une chose : profitez de cette génération française tant qu’elle est là.
Parce que le jour où elle prendra sa retraite, où les résultats ne suivront plus et où les grandes compétitions redeviendront des chemins de croix, certains comprendront enfin ce qu’ils avaient sous les yeux.
On peut ne pas aimer Mbappé.
Mais on ne peut pas nier son talent, ses qualités de footballeur et la place qu’il occupe dans l’histoire de ce sport.
🇫🇷 Le football a une mémoire. Dommage que certains supporters n’en aient pas.
Je n’ai jamais vu autant de gens militer contre leur propre joueur pour l’empêcher de remporter le Ballon d’Or.
Mbappé, tu n’es décidément pas né dans le bon pays. 🇫🇷
Dans n’importe quelle autre nation, un joueur de ton calibre serait vénéré matin, midi et soir.
En France, certains préfèrent te voir échouer plutôt que triompher.
