I’ve left Anthropic after more than a year of working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than I ever imagined.
I have really loved working at Ant and believe deeply in the mission, and most of all, the idea of a race to the top.
The idea that if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes. And if we all push each other to be better, things can be radically good. I will carry the spirit of this with me forever.
My colleagues at Anthropic are the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met. I am glad they are at the wheel and trust them deeply.
To the community on X, thank you for everything. You’ve made this the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had.
For me, it is time for a bit of a break before diving into something new.

在「一个人加 AI 只用十四周半就能重写八十三万行核心系统」的当下，任何靠「熟悉祖传代码」建立的资深工程师护城河，本质上都是随时会被算力直接蒸发的幻觉。
谷歌官方证实，他们的 AI 正在把内部几十万行的老旧系统代码自动翻新；微软和 Anthropic 也以「天」为单位，暴力清洗过去几十年来没人敢碰的底层屎山。
十几年积累的人工除错经验，在冰冷的数据面前毫无还手之力：Claude 核心代码几个 AI 合作只花十一天就全部重构；安卓改用新架构后，致命漏洞密度比原本暴跌一千倍，出错被打回的概率降低四倍。过去几十个老法师盯了几十年都防不住的七成严重系统漏洞，AI 几天内就彻底根除。
企业过去忍受老员工的高薪和低效，纯粹是因为改动旧代码承担不起当机的风险。当 AI 翻新几十万行历史包袱的成本，降到只剩几张显卡的电费时，容忍人工经验的商业借口在一夜之间荡然无存。
那些笃定「这三十万行老代码全公司只有我懂、没人动得了我」的人，很快会收到通知——你引以为傲的三十年排错资历，在八十三万行自动重写的进度条面前，连个零头都算不上。
