Britpop is back! For my Guardian debut, I interviewed AG Cook, Nia Archives and Rachel Chinouriri - artists who all have albums that play with Britpop and national identity. What does Britpop mean in 2024? theguardian.com/music/2024/a…
Mad fer it! The young musicians flying the flag for Britpop

Mad fer it! The young musicians flying the flag for Britpop

Artists from Dua Lipa to Nia Archives are tapping the boisterous energy of mid-90s music – and even embracing the union jack. Can they avoid the genre’s laddish lows?

Immensely excited about this! For their Feb issue, @LoudAndQuietMag sent me to Paris to interview Kim Gordon about her new album, The Collective. Absolute career highlight. She had amazing things to say about politics, technology, Musk and her art practice.

Especially been inspired by the recent stuff by @ObviouslyDan and @wrendovelark who both have such a clear vision, and have always communicated their music with such warmth and passion, even going as far as to generously share tips with a newcomer to producing like me. 🤝
