They’re not really cutting aid, just reprogramming it as “joint projects” and hiding it in the defense budget. Americans will be paying more with even less Congressional oversight. What’s actually notable here is Trump acknowledging that aid to Israel is a political loser.

Even if it does all go to shit under Iraola (I don't think it will), it still won't make sacking Slot the wrong choice. I don't know how people have managed to forget last season so quickly. Keeping him on would have been the same as keeping Rodgers in the summer of 2015.

The Slot sacking was just the board being pressurised, expectations were too high. They wouldn’t have sacked Klopp for finishing 5th and achieving champions league football. Arne Slots football was desire to watch but at least he had a plan. All we do now is take possession.
