Every age has its pros and cons, but due to medical advancements, if I were born even five or ten years earlier, my life would look very different now, and I possibly wouldn't be here. It's very fortunate I'm a mid-90s kid, and I'm hopeful treatments will continue to advance.
Yes, the world is considerably better in 2026 than in 1985, 1995, 2005, or even 2015. And lots of people in each of those years thought there wouldn't be a world worth living in by this point. Lots of problems, but still better. Recognizing that alone should help lots of people.

I wasn't like this as a teen at all. Neither were my friends. Neither is my brother (currently a teen). Neither are many of the teens I've been around in my adult life. If you think this way, you are telling on yourself.

Enjoy it. They turn 13. Sorry it's true. Then You are dumb They are sneaky The Boys start to smell & get lazy. The Girls talk behind their hands whenever you do anything. Both are sullen, mildly rude & upset if you ask them to so much as pick up a sock.

If you resent teenagers, of course they will resent you. Why shouldn't they?

Another Narnia box set by the Folio Society. This one is a little easier to get, not cheap but easier, because there were more runs bound in this style. I believe the filled in gold ribbon spines are the first prints and later reprints removed the gold for text only. Don’t quote me on that. They are smart looking books, but I prefer the light blue redesign in 2012. For the purists, some may not like the hardcoded order displayed on the front cover images. Some may. I don’t own this set, just an FYI post. **Images by @FolioVault from eBay listings.

If YOU had to design a Narnia cover (any or all of the books), what are some details you would include? I'd find a way to incorporate the robin on The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. And use every excuse to show a horse (Puzzle and Jewel too). Bird- and horsemaxxing.

I'm always surprised to see that the common misconception is that Lewis was universalist (easily debunked by considering the dwarfs in The Last Battle or the Tragedian in The Great Divorce) when it seems much easier to come away from The Great Divorce mistakenly believing it portrays annihilationism.
C.S. Lewis was NOT in fact a universalist. You could charitably say he was an inclusivist from The Great Divorce and The Last Battle. But he explicitly refutes universalism in The Problem of Pain.
