There are teams that dont need heavy star profile(s) to become better just like ajax , Dortmund and co, united was it at the time, we played a little bit of what psg are playing rn maybe little less of the possession and ur being to critical of Maguire which i thought was great with us under ole except his first season otherwise he was decent
Lol and the whole tactical prowess is just a football myth most of the time basically cause of pep and cryuff, Most of good results comes down to quality and good coaching, if you can coach and handle ur players well enough they would perform well on the pitch
Managers like Jose, Ancelotti and even fergie didn’t necessarily have reputable tactics they were just good coaches and there teams delivered cause of that
It is really annoying when u guys compare either Ole or Carrick to Arteta. It took Arteta 6 years of good football and one season of haram football to eventually win it.
Arteta challenged City for that title for 3 straight seasons, but always lost at the end cos of squad depth and that experience edge that Pep has over him. He won it last season cos he tried a different thing entirely from the beautiful football we have been seeing them play.
Last season, Arsenal never played that beautiful football again, it’s not that they don’t know it but because they want to win by any means necessary, which was also why none of their players went far in any individual award.
Ole on the other hand never had any football tactics, he just found a way to being the team together and told them to just use Counter attacks to score goals.
Ole made his average players look very bad, people like Maguire who scored own goals and made a lot of errors at the back. That was under Ole. But now, u rarely see Maguire doing those shit again.
Ole would always win Man City, cos pep isn’t one to sit back in low blocks, but against teams that actually do sit back we were clueless.
The season he came Second, I remember him losing to 20th Place Sheffield United at Old Trafford.
Ole is just Carrick 1.0, he is better than Carrick cos of the edge he has over him in Counter attacks.
Even Rashford wey be Werey said it, “ You don’t use fluke wins to carry the league title, the only trophy it gets u are tournament trophies if u re lucky”.
