In a difficult and dangerous world, a decade on from Brexit, there is a risk that Britain loses the confidence to lead and stand up for its values. I’m not prepared to let that happen. It is more important than ever that Britain stands for something. We have called for years for a two-state solution in the Middle East, but we must recognise that those words are meaningless unless we back them up with action. For too long, we have been hesitant to act, fearful of being accused of being anti-Israel. Today we are announcing carefully judged, targeted steps that are not aimed at the Israeli people, but at the unacceptable policies of the current Israeli government. The suffering of the Palestinian people is a scar on the conscience of the world. Innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to be killed in Gaza. And there is still a humanitarian crisis, with far too little aid getting in. The scale of destruction is hard to comprehend. More than 70,000 people lie dead - at least 20,000 of them children. Families and communities have been torn apart. Millions displaced. And the population of Gaza is now penned into just one third of the territory. I know that people across the UK feel very deeply about this issue - and so do I. Before I became Prime Minister, I said our country’s response had been too slow and simply not good enough. That’s why I committed to changing the government’s approach. I will not stand by as the horrific suffering continues to grow and the prospect of a two-state solution - the best hope for peace and stability in the region - comes under attack. More settlements have been approved under the four years of this Israeli government than in the previous 20 years. The UN has reported more than 1,500 incidents of settler violence so far this year, aimed at driving out Palestinians. And the situation is growing worse, fast. The Israeli government has now approved 104 new settlements since it took office in December 2022, and ahead of the October elections in Israel, it is allowing tenders for the construction of the E1 mega settlement to go ahead. This would cut a swathe through the heart of the West Bank - snuffing out the hope of realising a two-state solution. It cannot be allowed to happen. That’s why we are announcing a new package of tough measures to put pressure on the Israeli government: First, we will ban the trade in goods with illegal settlements in Palestine. Second, we have formally changed the view of the British government to say for the first time that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory is unlawful - independent of, but in line with, the conclusion of the international court of justice. And third, we will sanction individuals and companies that support, facilitate or profit from illegal settlements. That includes any businesses or investors that take part in the construction of the E1 settlement. In addition, we are announcing a new package of desperately needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. We are taking these steps because it is the right thing to do. I have condemned the monstrous terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 in the strongest possible terms - and continue to condemn Hamas. However, it does not justify the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza or the West Bank. The measures we are taking are about targeting illegal settlements and increasing the pressure on the Israeli government to change course. We are not imposing sanctions on Israel as a whole, which would punish the Israeli people, many of whom disagree with their government’s position. The Israeli people are not responsible for the actions of their government. And nor is the Jewish community in the UK. Blaming British Jews for the actions of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is wrong, plain and simple. And it is antisemitism, plain and simple. I met the representatives of the Jewish community just last week. I know the fear they live with day by day. My government will stop at nothing to ensure they are safe and to stamp out antisemitism in every part of our society. The measures we are announcing today are about protecting the only solution that could see the Israeli and Palestinian people living side by side in peace and security - something that people up and down the UK desperately want to see. The government I lead will keep working with our partners around the world to keep that hope alive.

This artwork imagines the Solana ecosystem painting the next court together. It doesn't have to stay an illustration. We're halfway there. If projects want Web3 to be remembered for something bigger than charts, this is the moment to prove it. Who's in?

I am a huge believer that the failure rate on new businesses and companies is high. I agree 100% there. But we need to keep grinding anyway. To abandon games after 1-2 weeks and move on to the next game is not it. When we talk about “99% of businesses fail” - we mean they fail after grinding it out and trying absolutely everything they can to survive. THEN they fail, and they pivot, and it makes sense. Moving from game to game because “this one didn’t make $5m week 1 - clearly a failure” is just playing off hype from launch to launch. Sadly people will continue to buy because hype sells. But let’s return to games that are built to last rather than speed run to zero.
i spent $300K building a crypto game it made $0 last week, we launched @Jaileddotfun a prison simulator on solana it was our most anticipated game since our last hit game @addicteddotfun the numbers before launch looked insane: 10M organic views (no paid marketing) 40K followers in 30 days more attention than addicted got it felt like we're about to ship another banger but the results was launch tweet: 200K views users: ~1000 rev: $300K (mainly trading fee) - cost: $288K (3 full time devs + 4 audits) = profit $12K we rejected all vc money and chose to be an independent game studio, so each game's revenue is extremely important to keep shipping new games and we completely fucked up so far we shipped 5 games here's the break down of each games rev 1. @infecteddotfun → -$50K 2. @Insddotfun → $0 3. @addicteddotfun → +$4M 4. @pussycattech → $0 5. @Jaileddotfun → +$12K before infected, we shipped 5+ mini games and all made $0 failure rate is 99.9% that’s the reality of building crypto games but one hit changes everything just like we saw with addicted compared to Defi Kingdoms, Axie infinity, Stepn, it’s still peanuts tho we just need to keep shipping faster and better till we build a biggest crypto game in history we’re now building an onchain heist game drop a comment if you want early access to @Heistedxyz

The thing you need to understand with @SyndicateGameHQ is target audience. Our entire game is built out on crypto rails but intentionally abstracted away. I have signed up middle aged people who have never touched crypto in their life but now play every single day. They didn't have to understand a thing. This is our free to play league where top 35 positions win at least $25, with top position winning $385. Paid leagues above earn even more. This is a weekly prize pool. Every week. And it will grow. This might seem like peanuts to crypto natives in terms of reward money - but to normies? This is a weekly opportunity to play a fun game and earn real cash for doing so. I implore you - sign up to thesyndicate.games and give it a spin, you won't regret it.

Trump reached deep into his profanity lexicon a week ago to warn Netanyahu not to attack, then told the world he had put Bibi in his place and troops were even turning around. Peace was at hand thanks to Trump’s strength and his fury, Axios reported. A week later that very bombing run is carried out and Iran is promising major retaliation. We have had a lot of weak presidents over our history but perhaps none weaker than Trump. He gets pushed around by a small nation of a few million people that we subsidize.
🚨 Israel Strikes Beirut’s Southern Suburbs Killing at Least 2 — Iran Signals Response Israeli forces struck the Dahiyeh district of Beirut’s southern suburbs Sunday, killing at least 2 people and wounding 11 in strikes on residential apartments, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency. The strikes came after several weeks during which Israel had refrained from targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs amid Iranian pressure via its negotiations with the U.S.. 🔹Netanyahu’s office confirmed the attack, stating: “In accordance with the directive of Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz, the IDF is now striking terrorist headquarters in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, in response to Hezbollah fire toward Israeli territory.” 🔹Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported that Israel informed the United States in advance of the strikes. 🔹The first strike targeted the Mreijeh area, near the al-Aytam station intersection on the road to Tahwitat al-Ghadir, according to L’Orient. The strikes are occurring with relentless Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon that killed 20 and wounded 85 on Saturday. 🔹Trump, speaking on NBC’s Meet the Press, said he is not demanding that Lebanon be included in any agreement with Tehran — significant as ceasefire negotiations with Iran continue and Iran demands full end to war across the region. 🔹Iranian officials responded immediately: ▪️ Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf, one of Iran’s most senior security officials and lead of negotiating team, warned that the Beirut strike and the ongoing U.S. naval blockade have crossed a red line: “They are neither committed to a ceasefire nor believe in dialogue, and by demonstrating through the naval blockade and violation of agreements regarding Lebanon that they only understand the language of power.” He added: “The naval blockade against the Iranian nation and America’s green light today to the Zionist regime turn American and regime bases and assets in the region into legitimate targets. The hand of our armed forces is ready, as always.” ▪️ Iranian MP Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee: “We will deliver a decisive and painful response. Look at the sky over the occupied lands tonight.”
