Filipe Luís’ Monaco are now three Ligue 1 games without a win, and suddenly all that noise from Chelsea fans wanting him has disappeared. 😂
This is exactly why I keep saying you cannot escape the PROCESS.
If Filipe eventually builds a brilliant Monaco team, people will remember the finished product and forget periods like this. Then some fan at a bigger club will demand his appointment because they want the success he eventually produced, without accepting the difficult stages that created it.
That’s football now. Everyone wants the manager AFTER the process, but nobody wants to live through the process with their own manager.
You cannot skip to the finished product. 💯
💙 Emerson Palmieri looking back on his time at Chelsea:
"I was truly blessed at Chelsea. I joined at a wonderful time. I was part of a squad that won several trophies, featuring world-class players—Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Fàbregas, Jorginho, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Kanté."
Just look at those names. 😭
Different managers, different squads, but Chelsea kept finding ways to collect trophies.
Emerson left with a Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup to his name. Some memories. 🏆💙
There are reports that Chelsea have opened talks with Estêvão’s camp over a new contract. 👀🇧🇷
I’d absolutely welcome that.
Whatever the conversation around his minutes right now, Estêvão is one of those talents you protect for the long term and give time to develop properly.
Secure his future, keep developing him and let the football take care of itself. 💙
🌟 Estêvão on his ambitions at Chelsea:
“I think it’s very important for a player to have goals. I have my goals, I have my ambitions. I have goals with the group, which today is Chelsea, and I have personal goals as well.”
You can see the hunger whenever he gets an opportunity.
The talent is already there. Now it’s about turning those ambitions into consistency and forcing his way into the team. 🇧🇷💙
🔵 Romeo Lavia on his midfield partnership with Moisés Caicedo:
“Moi is an exceptional player. I really enjoy playing with him. Obviously, I've had these injuries and stuff, but I've been playing with Moi for three or four years.
Of course, I know him and he knows me, so I'm very, very happy to be playing alongside him again.”
That existing understanding between them could become so valuable for Chelsea now that Lavia is finally getting consistent minutes.
Caicedo 🤝 Lavia. We need to see this partnership grow. 💙
There has been a subtle shift in Chelsea’s football recently.
We’re not going long from the goalkeeper at every opportunity anymore, and Alonso keeps returning to the same idea when he speaks: CONTROL.
That’s encouraging because the transition game can remain a weapon, but it cannot be our entire identity. This team also needs to know how to slow matches down, keep the ball and dictate where the game is played.
It feels like Alonso recognises that now.
If we can combine the directness with genuine possession control, this team becomes much more complete. 💙
For the first time since Romeo Lavia joined Chelsea, it feels like we can finally judge the footballer instead of constantly discussing his fitness.
He says this is the best he has felt since arriving, and he’s been injury-free since pre-season. That continuity is massive.
Forget the previous seasons. For me, Lavia’s Chelsea career properly starts NOW.
Stay fit and show everyone what we’ve been waiting for. 💙⭐️
Gessime Yassine is looking like a serious winger. 🌟
The exciting part isn’t just the output. He can beat his man, create, score and contribute without the ball too.
He won 10/12 duels in this game alone, and he already has 4 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1 this season.
At only 20, the foundation is ridiculous.
If he keeps developing every part of his game, we could be looking at a COMPLETE winger. 👀🔥
