Today after nearly 4 years at @ISPHERE_HWU @HeriotWattUni researching street begging I submitted my revised PhD thesis. It was a privilege to be able to do it and contribute something to the field. But I couldn't have done it without the support of the people around me. Thank you

BREAKING 🚨⚡️| We are now calling for public ownership of energy companies.
The energy cap is expected to increase to £3,200, up over 150% in just a year.
Public ownership would:
✅ Reduce bills
✅ Speed up energy efficiency improvements to homes
✅ Cut carbon emissions faster

I’d be really keen to link up with any fellow professionals working in homelessness and temporary accommodation, can anyone help with this? 🙏🏻
Thanks for inviting to speak at this today. I really enjoyed hearing from experts in the area and hopefully being able to pass on some of the knowledge I've gained from my research

Thanks! 👍👍
If you work or volunteer in the homelessness sector in England and Wales please spare 15 minutes to complete this survey.

Solidarity to everyone on strike. Current working conditions at universities are wrong and stop early career academics like me wanting to enter the industry. I appreciate the hit that strikers are taking for our futures

So much tragedy. So much life lost.
But the continued adherence to the language of ‘drug related’ distracts and plays a part in maintaining that tragedy.
I can’t find a single mention of trauma, poverty, inequality or childhood adversity anywhere here. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-5…
