Last game vs ASSE was also the final game of my personal #ButsDeValeur campaign, in which I pledged €5 for each goal scored by Greenwood in 2024. I wanted to sum it up and touch upon my current feelings on OM, modern football & the future of this account...

Only once in modern CL/EL history a team with 11 points didn’t advance from the group stage. This means that if we win the next two home games vs Levski and Celta, we will need 2 points from Celtic/Anderlecht. Still a tall order, but I feel that today’s result is massive. #B04OM
Positive surprise: Egan-Riley, vigilant from the start, playing calmly and isolating Lepaul
Negative surprise: Weah with few terrible passes that resulted in a counter
No surprise: Harit, who weaves magical turns and flicks with inability to play a simple quick pass

Don’t want to beat the dead horse, AND of course there is no direct causality between this and employing a sex offender to play for your club (?), but it’s apparent that it’s damn hard to be an OM supportrice these days…
🚨 L’OM CONDAMNE LES FAITS D’AGRESSION SEXUELLE DÉNONCÉS PAR UNE SUPPORTRICE LORS DE LA RÉCEPTION DU PARIS FC ! 😤

Considering we lose Paixao, Timber and Emerson, this would be my lineup versus Paris FC. Really not much to lose so let's give minots a chance. Priority is to have a presence & pace on the wings.
We all saw what was wrong (spoiler alert: almost everything), so let me focus on one good thing - Abdallah. Did not shy away from responsibility, took risks and delivered some good crosses & runs. One to keep an eye on.

Can’t really achieve anything if we’re relying on Timber crossing to Angel Gomes… Need to go back to high press and verticality, but our defense is really exposed on counters. Don’t see a good way out here for Genesio… #ASMOM
It is probably high time for him to go, but this still makes me sad. One of the few players with a real story, lots of memories (good and bad) and some true determination, raisinghimself from dead a few times.
I will miss him (but don’t come back pls). Merci Leo!

Some more or less random thoughts after the game:
(1) Best player on the pitch tonight was Gomes. A drastic change from static water-carrier to dynamic playmaker. I think he will be the biggest winner of Genesio coaching.
(3) I’m really not sold on Gouiri as a 9. Apart from goals he didn’t really contribute much. Would rather see him as a false 9 or out wide, and go look for a proper strong and pressing forward.
LETS GET THIS ACCOUNT ROLLING ONCE MOREEEEEEE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!!!!!!!

Le club remercie Mason Greenwood pour ses deux saisons passées sous les couleurs olympiennes et lui adresse ses meilleurs vœux de réussite pour la suite de sa carrière. 🤝
I'm not sure if a guy who doesn't know how to operate a washing machine is a good fit to lead the biggest club in France...?
