I started making Sgt Calhoun’s rifle for LA Comic Con at the end of the month! It will be EVA foam like the armor, but the first step was to draw my paper blueprint. A lot of people do this by taking a 3D model and tracing it in illustrator, then printing it out life size, but tbh I’m not very proficient with illustrator so that would have taken me way longer than how I ended up doing it, which was to draw it freehand. I did this just by eye and without any measurements, and I think it came out perfectly! This will get traced into many different layers of foam to build up the rifle.
