Grassroots coaching is about more than football. You’ll wear many hats: • Counsellor • Mediator • Teacher • Pastoral Support • Role Model Be ready to make a difference beyond the pitch. These are often the most challenging, yet most rewarding parts of the role.

Coaches I assume you are not planning on putting your potential Division 7 Under 12 League Championship title on your personal LinkedIn profile? So stop managing teams like that’s all that matters! Screaming at every 50/50 decision!!! It’s grassroots…..Relax!!

If you are paying money to a club you are NOT on an academy pathway. Parents are paying ridiculous amounts & then telling everyone ‘little Tommy’ plays for a pro-academy for clout! Just be a realist. If your child is good enough they will make their way without the nonsense!

There’s no hiding place playing as a GK so being only 16 years old and making such a positive contribution to the match is testament to your ability. Proud of you Len. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
