My youngest daughter, 3, was looking for a cup at her nana’s. We’re here for Thanksgiving. She never got assigned A Cup. My oldest daughter, 13, says- you can just have my Elsa cup, I have my Stanley now. 😭 is this the beginning of the end of childhood?

You just can’t even believe how good it feels to be outside this morning. Instant soul refreshment bc the Creator is so present out here.

I cannot even handle thinking about gardening season around the corner. Ya girl has not bought one single Christmas present.
Just me or are these coming early this year? Either way - planning begins!

The moment God begins to knit an eternal soul. Amazing!!!
Did you know? An explosion of zinc fireworks occurs when a human egg is activated by a sperm enzyme, and the size of these “sparks” is a direct measure of its ability to develop into an embryo. In other words, life begins with a flash of light.

I’ve had a sore throat the last 2 days. One of those bad ones where you can’t swallow. So nervous for it to turn into a full viral infection. The last time I caught a virus during the 1st tri the baby died soon after and I miscarried. No fever for now 🙏🏼🙏🏼

A little update on this from the people who said try asking directly for help. I have asked them to come over and/or keep kids twice now. The answer is no bc of scheduling conflicts but no other offers to help on a different day. This is ok. I’m sad but I’m used to it.
My MIL lives close-ish. She has seen me a couple of times since I told her I was pregnant. She was over here for my daughter’s birthday & I was so sick I had to lay down for the entirety of their stay. She never offered anything. No help. No food. No errands. No babysitting.

One time someone on this app asked what some good family movies are and I copied them from the comments into my notes and we’ve slowly worked our way through this awesomely long list. Tonight it’s Free Willy.

“Say no without feeling guilty” Idk, I think we should feel a little guilty. Strive for reliability, dependability. Maybe say yes as often as possible and express genuine lament when you have to say no. Maybe stop prioritizing yourself and prioritize serving others.

Stop it. Stop. Just let them go. We’re really living in a black mirror episode aren’t we.
What if the loved ones we've lost could be part of our future?

I’ve been spending an exorbitant amount of time with my face in Instagram reels. I’m so alarmed, so curious, so fascinated with the appeal of influencers. I don’t understand them? Is it a daily off dose of reality tv or bc they’re richer than you or bc you love to judge…?

Gosh I forgot how awful the 1st tri is. I’m glad I forgot. Bc from where I am in this moment, I will neverrrr do this again.

One of the kids needed an antibiotic (ugh). Do any of you have a good probiotic protocol?

Thinking about how I wanted a tramp stamp more than anything when I was 18. Never got it bc I was too poor. Sometimes the Lord’s mercy is in a limited budget 🫠

On bad political decisions, a quick historical summary: Men have a tendency to back horrible genocidal fascists, and women have a tendency to back destructive liberal tyrants. Neither sex is better than the other. Neither is wiser than the other. Both sexes need each other.

Pale Blue Dot is a photo of Earth that was taken by the Voyager 1 space probe in 1990 from a distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) as it was leaving our solar system. This is what Carl Sagan said about the photo: "Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

Did you know you can just put baby wash cloths in a wipe warmer with water? Maybe a drop of soap if you want. Don’t buy wipes.

Pretty much like this but I don’t roll mine up and I buy those really thin wash cloths.

The same songs on repeat all day long (out of tune) but it’s just your children practicing piano.
