AI code isn't better than AI art. It was taken/stolen and used to train AIs without the creator's consent. The same issues apply. Also, code that works is different from fast, light, scalable, maintainable, testable, and easy to understand, debug, modify and expand code.

A reminder that almost all forms of current AI are made with mountains of content stolen from creators without their consent. These creators never see a cent of this and lose their jobs while the AI companies make ridiculous amount of money from it with no regards to anything.

As someone who still prefers to make games in a custom engine I wrote, the code is kind of an inseparable part of a game's character, decisions about engine structure and every little bit of code have ripples that can be felt in the end product, even if hard to pick out specifics
