This is so BAD @SecKennedy @jeffreytucker @NIHDirector_Jay @CDCgov Working with the V-Safe data and discovered the following confirmed by @SiriGlimstad: The CDC "accidentally" left some of the free text fields too long, but when they discovered that they truncated them. The CDC lets us know this in the motion with @ICANdecide . But here's the thing. The CDC either redefined the table column that collected the data OR sent ICAN truncated fields when exporting. But what they didn't do was change the field definition in the collection form. So people didn't know that what they were writing was being cut off. Here is an example of someone who clearly had more to say about an obviously severe adverse event. This person had issues from dose 1, was trying to report on a pulmonary embolism after dose 3. And then they kept getting vaccinated and no one told them to stop! After the 4th dose they almost died. WHY did you stop people from telling you what happened?? Why would you limit free text and symptom fields to so few characters. It's almost like you didn't want to know what people were experiencing.
