I’ve been working with @NYCMayor since he was campaigning to create the Office of Deed Theft Prevention, and now, it’s a reality. @NYCMayor and I will continue to use every lever of power within City Hall to keep New Yorkers in their homes, and finally bring an end to Black displacement.
For far too long, City government has stood idly by while New York homeowners fall victim to criminal deed theft schemes.
Those days are over. We're creating the City's first Office of Deed Theft Prevention.
If you think you or someone you know may be a victim of deed theft, visit nyc.gov/deedfraud for support now.
For those who pursue peace and justice around the world, we mourn the loss of Dolores Huerta. The strength of today’s labor movement would not be possible were it not for the decades-long work of Dolores. From the Delano Grape Strike of the 1960s until the very end of her life, she has woven an unparalleled sense of shared humanity into the struggle for workers’ rights.
Let us work every day to finally realize the vision she labored for: a world where every worker is treated with the unconditional dignity they deserve.

This weekend, we celebrated our fall community resource fair! Our team will always remember the joy we shared with you all at Restoration Plaza. So many neighbors came to learn about healthcare resources, job opportunities, legal services, and tenant/homeowner assistance!
We’re proud to announce yet another affordable housing development in our district! We’re delivering rents in Bed-Stuy for as low as $703 a month for a one bedroom and up to $956 a month for a three bedroom - that’s literally unheard of!
Thank you to our housing partners @BKBPReynoso , @stnicksalliance @bedstuyrestoration, @nychousing for helping us get this done.

⚡️ Public Power ⚡️ is also brewing in Ithaca!
Rochester's been ready for public power, is staying ready for public power. Thanks to @MetroJustice @rocDSA and more for having us to talk about what it takes to win public ownership of our energy grid—and how it unlocks the possibilities for a 21st century grid.

Today, the City Council’s Progressive Caucus announced their legislative priorities, and the CURB Act is one of them! Years of long-sought police reform is within reach. We’re proud the Progressive Caucus backs this legislation as we fortify NYC against threats of all kinds.
It was a pleasure to meet with Ithaca Mayor @RGC_NYS , members of the Ithaca Common Council, and my dear friend @AMKelles to discuss the importance of Public Power.
From upstate to downstate and from NYSEG to ConEd, New Yorkers are sick and tired of paying skyrocketing utility bills. Let’s lower those prices together!
I hear the same problems from my constituents in Bed-Stuy as I heard from the people of Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca: our energy bills are too damn high!
Luckily we’re doing something about it, and together New Yorkers can fight back to secure cheap, clean, and reliable energy ⚡️
From Ridgewood to Rochester, New Yorkers are fighting back against the corporate energy system driving up our bills.
Publicly owned renewable utilities are the future. Join @OsseChi and thousands of New Yorkers to demand public power! ⚡️ bit.ly/buildpublicpower
