🎙️🔒 Muted vs suspended: know the difference.
🎙️ MUTED (24 hrs): you can still play, but no voice, chat, Lagos Gist posts or messaging strangers. It lifts on its own.
Triggers: explicit sexual talk in Spaces, repeatedly trying to sell banned items in chat, or several player reports in one day.
🔒 SUSPENDED: your account is locked and you’re signed out everywhere until our team lifts it.
Triggers: anything that puts children at risk, or serious scams and fraud, including selling game money for real cash.
See something? Report it. Play fair, Lagos. 💚

➡️ I will work with the local governments, LCDAs, and the Lagos State Public Works Corporation to ensure that we effectively fix all our inner roads.

➡️ I am going to complete the Lekki Regional Road and commence Phase Two of the Opebi Link Bridge, which will connect to the Second Axial Road.
➡️ I am going to increase the number of BRT buses from 1,000 to 4,000.
➡️ I am also going to commence the 4th Mainland bridge through a PPP arrangement.
➡️ I am going to complete the Blue Line and Red Line interchange station.
➡️I will work with the Federal Government to deliver the Green Line from Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
➡️ I am also going to upgrade the waterways by building new ferry terminals to ensure that the waterways serve as a third highway.”
— Current Deputy Governor and 2027 APC governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat details during his manifesto launch today.
The manifesto serves as a roadmap outlining the projects his administration intends to deliver over the next four years.
It will be shared with Lagosians so they can examine the proposals and hold him accountable for their implementation.

About 1m was slapped on my meter. Thinking about it now,...i really just looked at it, hissed and been paying... it was spread out into monthly deductions maybe thats why I didn't really take it seriously
LASCOPA says it received 556 complaints against Ikeja Electric between January and September.
It resolved 528 of them and recovered ₦26.2 million in refunds and billing adjustments.
That works out to roughly ₦50,000 per resolved complaint.
Now think about that.
Nine months. An entire Ikeja Electric coverage area. Just 556 complaints.
Does anyone really believe only 556 customers had billing issues this year?
The money was there for those who complained.
Most people probably looked at the bill, hissed, and paid.

Lmao 🤣 this is actually false, sha ! The quality of conversation from actually sitting and listening to multiple sessions across diverse fields is next to none. Now let me tell you the problem many young people have in tech conferences. You see someone you admire and approach them with a problem you have, and you expect they can solve your problem or give advice in 5–10 mins, lol 😂. Anyone who does that to you isn’t helping you. So rather than sit at sessions and actively listen, many people are roaming about in the name of networking UP.
Do you know the best use of tech conferences ? It’s not networking up; it’s networking sideways.

One of the sponsors at Borderless said they’d have liked to see other non-fintechs at the exhibition booth; since they are all doing the same thing.
In my mind, I said, “for where?”
But I have some ideas for next year.
Fun fact; Moonshot is not a fintech event but all the top sponsors were fintechs, starting at the Headliner, Grey

When I chose the name WeJapa (@wejapatravel), a few people tried to talk me out of it.
Their reasons made sense. Another Nigerian startup had used the name back in 2020, a talent platform that ended in a very public controversy. And "japa" itself had come to mean one thing: leaving Nigeria for good.
But I couldn't let it go. WeJapa is catchy. It already lives in the head of every Nigerian who has ever packed a bag. You don't have to explain it. You just have to decide what it stands for.
So I kept it, and set out to change the meaning.
Nigerians travel for tourism too. We go to Zanzibar for the beaches, Dubai for the shopping, Accra for the vibes, and then we come back home. We japa to explore, to rest, to celebrate, and to see the world on our own terms.
Today, when you search WeJapa, slowly and surely, it's us showing up. The name is becoming about the journeys, not just the exits.
Sometimes stubbornness is just conviction that hasn't been proven right yet.
