🚨🚨ALERT: ANTHROPIC IS A/B TESTING USAGE LIMITS Many users on X are reporting LOWER usage limits right now. THEY ARE NOT WRONG. We detected an A/B test going on that DECREASES your monthly API-value by ~20% while INCREASING your 5h usage limits by ~20%. This only affects SOME accounts. (1/2)🧵

"how to avoid brain rot" was a great watch. some of my favorites points: - using ai to ask yourself socratic questions instead of giving you the answer makes you feel like you're learning less but research shows you're actually learning more - ai tooling is moving so fast that it's better to know 50% of a new tool than to master 90% of an older tool

People keep telling me that native apps are much faster than React Native, but I don’t think it’s true. So I built the same app in 9 different desktop frameworks. I found that AppKit is slightly faster/lighter than React Native, but React Native beats SwiftUI by a good margin.

I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor. robbietilton.com/compositor I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS. I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details. The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.

Here’s an example of Jev driving agent-browser playing the wiki game. By giving Jev the state of the page content and links that can be clicked on, it’s figuring out which link is most likely to get to the goal and it’s fast 😅

skillbox is now open source! MIT. github.com/kitze/skillbox the readme is not made for you. ask your agent to set it up for you and port your scattered markdown skills into skillbox. more stuff coming soon.
i added Jev to skillbox so instead of my dumb agents doing 30 turns on finding the right skill, Jev reads the query and immediately returns the relevant skills 💀 dope shit

We finally cracked it! We built an open-source video editor that turns every edit into code. I got tired of agents: → Losing context → Giving me outputs I couldn’t modify So we flipped it: → Code is the new database.

Hi Tobi, thanks for the feedback! We are working on making Claude Code more hackable, which will include being able to easily use Agents.MD or make other system prompt modifications. I’ll share more here when it’s ready to roll out. Our reasoning for this was that we don't think that model families are interchangeable and the system prompt can have a big impact on performance. I wrote here: xitter.cf/trq212/status/20807109… on how Claude models like their skills, system prompt, Claude.MD, etc to be formatted. In Claude Code we have different system prompts per model. That said, I know this is a lot of upkeep and not worth the squeeze for everyone. Feedback heard and I'll keep you posted. In the immediate term, you can always @Agents.MD from your Claude.MD.
We removed ~80% of the Claude Code system prompt for our newest models, this is what we've learned about writing system prompts, skills and Claude.MDs for them.

This feels like the future of app development
In 2026, you shouldn't be building a single application that's not agent-first. But what does that mean and how do you do it? Let me show you:

Big news: Kimi-K3 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now #1 in the Frontend Code Arena with 1679 pts, surpassing Claude Fable 5. This is a 17-place jump from Kimi-k2.6 (#18 -> #1). In Frontend, Kimi-K3 ranked #1 in 6 of 7 domains: Brand & Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics, Consumer Product, Simulations, and Content Creation Tools, landing #2 only in Gaming behind Fable 5. The full model weights will be released by July 27. Congrats to the @Kimi_Moonshot team on this major milestone!

We showed react-native-bottom-sheet at App.js, and it's ready to use today, built with support from @gobimaps. The sheet host, gestures, snapping and scrolling all run in native code, so drags stay smooth even when the JS thread is busy. Let's do a deep dive 🧵
