As my four years as a Vancouver School Board trustee come to an end, I want to congratulate all the newly elected trustees and wish them the very best. I hope you lead with passion, dedication and an open mind, always putting students first and recognizing the teachers and support staff who work tirelessly in our classrooms every day. A special congratulations to Suzie Mah on her re-election! Suzie, working alongside you for the past four years has been a privilege and an honour. We shared a passion for public education, and although we didn’t always agree, we always wanted the best for our students and community. We have both experienced personal losses during these years, yet continued to show up and stay committed. I will always value our friendship and the journey we’ve shared. To all my fellow outgoing trustees, I wish you the very best in your future endeavours. We have worked together, advocated at different levels of government and contributed in our own ways. I am proud of what we have accomplished together. As for me, my four-year term may be ending, but my passion for public education and my commitment to our students and community remain unchanged. Elected or not, serving our community and advocating for students will always be my priority. It has truly been an honour to serve Vancouver over the past four years. ❤️📚🙏🏼 @VSB39

Thank you, Sunita. For the past two years, Sunita has served Vancouver-Langara as MLA, and she has done it with real heart. I got to know her through my work in the Jewish community, and what began as a working relationship grew into a genuine friendship. Sunita is one of the warmest, most caring people I know in public life. She works incredibly hard, and she has a rare gift for connecting with people, whoever they are and wherever they come from. I'll never forget her coming straight from Victoria to our CLEAR Alzheimer's dinner to speak to the families we support. It meant a great deal to me. We ran against each other this fall, but that never changed how I feel about her. Thank you for your service to this community and for your friendship. Vancouver-Langara is better for the work you've done. @SunitaDhirBC

Every Vancouver child should learn to swim for free. ABC will build pools at Sunset, Marpole & a 50m pool at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre. We’ll also make swimming lessons part of the school system, using underused pool time. More pools. More access. A safer, healthier Vancouver.

Ken Sim's ABC Vancouver housing platform pitches 4,200 new rental homes on City-owned land, and accelerating the replacement of aging SROs. There would be tougher rules for supportive housing operators deemed to be irresponsible. #vanpoli #vanre dailyhive.com/vancouver/abc-…

Vancouver needs more places to stay active year-round. That’s why we’re committed to building an all-weather, covered pickleball court in Van, giving seniors, families and players of all ages a place to play, rain or shine. 🏓 #pickleball #vancouver @vancouverpickl1 @TennisBC @PickleballCA @PickleballBC

We’re listening to taxi drivers who play a key role in our economy and tourism. ABC will ensure major tourist zones like Canada Place have flexible drop-off sites—keeping passenger drop-offs safe and traffic moving without penalizing taxi drivers. #vanpoli @Vote4ABC

.@ParkBoard, after the election, I think it’s time we revisit this. In 2024, the proposal for Vancouver’s first dedicated inclusive and accessible sensory park was stripped down, and the original idea never moved forward. I’m not exactly forgetting that. This is why we need an accountable Park Board that listens to and represents all Vancouverites, not just a select few. Bring autistic people, families and accessibility organizations to the table. Let’s give this idea another look. globalnews.ca/news/10248327/… #vanpoli #bcpoli

This is my beautiful sister, Robina. Tomorrow she would have been 63. She died by suicide in her twenties, after experiencing domestic abuse. There was no review, no questions asked, no learning. I founded Karma Nirvana in her memory. Robina, you are loved, remembered❤️

Deeply saddened by this morning’s attack at Nanaksar Gurdwara in Edmonton. My thoughts are with the injured, their families and the wider Edmonton Sikh community. As a Sikh, I know how much our Gurdwaras mean to our families and our community. They should always be places where we feel safe, welcomed and at peace. Violence has no place in our places of worship or our city. Waheguru Mehar Kare. 🙏🏽 #Edmonton #SikhCommunity #StopHate #Sikh
Today, we stand with the Sikh community in Edmonton and across Canada following the horrific attack at Nanaksar Gurdwara. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their place of worship. Hate has no place in our communities, and we stand united against it.

Proud to stand with @DavidGrewal2023 as he runs for City Council. I’ve always appreciated how genuinely willing he is to help—he shows up, listens, & is there when people need a hand. So happy to see him take this step. I can’t wait to see him serve the city he calls home🙌
Hi, I’m David Grewal, and I’m proud to be running for Vancouver City Council with Ken Sim and ABC Vancouver. I was born and raised in Vancouver. It’s where I built my career, started my business, and where my wife and I are raising our two kids. I want them — and every family — to have the opportunity to build a life in a Vancouver that is safe, affordable and full of opportunity. Over the past four years, Ken Sim and ABC Vancouver have made real progress. I’m running to build on that progress, focus on the fundamentals, and help keep Vancouver safe, affordable and moving forward. This October 17, vote David Grewal for City Council.

This year's El Niño will dwarf the six other super El Niño events on record. A projected +4.1°C rise in central Pacific Ocean temperatures by Dec. 2026 would leap past previous peaks of +2.8°C to +3.0°C in 1877, 1997 and 2015. No one alive has witnessed an El Niño this strong.
