This is what the Daily Deal looks like! Let's wrap things up. The game’s online record has been ruthlessly smashed, reaching 391. The previous was 174 at launch in March. In 24 hours +28k wishlists (wat??? 😱), bringing the total to a nice round number: 69,699. Nice! #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev

I just released a major update called “Vertical Construction”! Now you can build monstrous walls to shoot down at those poor nomads from atop! 🔥 #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev

Steam has an interesting mechanic on the sales side. If your game has sold well enough over the past few months, you can write to Valve and request a feature in the "Discounts and Events" section. So I did, and got approved! They let you pick any free date within the next 6 months, and on that day your game gets featured on the Steam front page as the Daily Deal. The juiciest days traffic-wise, Fridays and Saturdays, are usually snapped up months in advance. I really wanted the feature to land right when the next update drops, so I had to pick from what was left: Tuesday, September 8. It's shaping up to be something like a mini-release. The big vertical construction update ships on that exact date. A front-page feature on Steam means a ton of traffic and a wave of new players. I'm already reaching out to youtubers and I'm ready to fire up reddit ads. Who knows, maybe the external traffic will kick Steam's algorithms into gear and I'll land in the discovery queue too. People say a Daily Deal can be comparable to a second launch in terms of revenue, so I'm very curious how this plays out. #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev

I still haven't decided whether to add any height restrictions... Otherwise, people will build six-story smithies like this 😢

There is a large NativeArray of nodes. Each node (NavCell) stores the indices of the neighbor nodes to which it is connected. The node indices are indices within the array. This entire grid is generated in advance, and then the A* algorithm simply traverses this grid as graph.
