I grew up in #angolapenitentiary I’ve experienced my dad losing friend’s, #solitaryconfinement and I’ve even seen my dad shackled and chained like an animal it’s an #adversechildhoodexperiences that can cause #generationaltrauma

When someone visits a prison they are usually transformed by the surroundings, & soon convert to new ways of thinking & speaking about prison. That's why the SYSTEM tries hard to keep visitors & media out. You can never forget what you see, hear, smell and feel.

@JWMarriottNOLA thank you for giving me a traumatic Mother’s Day stayed overnight and woke up to a man cleaning the windows watching me as I laid naked in bed No 1 told me there was scheduled window cleaning was offered a refund for my stay but nothing for my emotional trauma
