Response to @RCPhysicians ask re @lengreview clinical protocol done- as a Fellow of RCP. I believe in transparency- so here are my views on some of the key questions. In summary? Needs a rejection on key areas of PAs seeing undifferentiated patients. And certainly not lean on Gen Next to be liability sponge. And let @rcgp make their own decisions regards primary care- no need to interfere. NB: Don't like it, give a counter view. Don't abuse or be snarky. It's a democracy- it's my view. You are welcome to give yours. @mmamas1973 @djnicholl @Mumtaz_Patel_1 @OGMustafa @BDChadwick Link: nhssugardoc.blogspot.com/202โ€ฆ

"It seems to me that a decision has been made to replace doctors and to remove distinctions between doctors and other professions. It's no coincidence that the NHS continues to struggle with efficiency, productivity, and safety problems while we progress further towards a blended workforce without the necessary training supervision or regulation." SGLT2i became part of โ€œstandardโ€ #T2Diabetes care when the class of medication became generic GLP-1 use as โ€œstandardโ€ #obesity care will happen when it goes generic The money for any else regards strategy? Isnโ€™t there. Everyone knows it But wonโ€™t say it openly. Fact.

We make -progress 2 apologies from 2 organisations received 2 more to go. You either apologise - or we take it through channels as needed. And we use everything the system can provide to help- whether it be FTSU, SAR or FOI. Gaslighting individuals when raising safety concerns needs to stop. Especially now when every single bit of concern raised- increased referrals, worse support for primary care, patients having lesser care- has now come to pass. If you want to make allegations- and can't back it up with proof- it's also known as 'Libel' And we take things forward- as long as it takes. As I said? I am grieving but I am still...Partha Kar. Ask @NHSEngland or @NHSE_WTE
8 and a half months of 'investigation' thrown out after no evidence found- and no case to answer. A few orgs trying-together. There's a saying... 'If you come for the King...' I am grieving But I am still..Partha Kar. And there is a need to stop this happening to anyone else.

And then? We stopped pontificating And improved outcomes across a population #T1Diabetes Laggard to Leader. As a country. Technology as a tool to aid self management Time for #T2Diabetes -beyond those using #Insulin? @NICEComms @kamleshkhunti @scelee1 @pcdosociety #gbdoc @BT1DUK @DiabetesUK @DHSCgovuk @NHSDiabetesProg @NHSEngland @NHSGIRFT
World of #T1D technology is evolving fast The #NHS must recognise that and adapt fast Rather than pontificate as to why outcomes are not improving in the #T1D population (NDA) Good outcomes need 4 things -simultaneously Self management; Peer support;Access to care & Tech #gbdoc

I am not sure how to take this gentleman seriously. After his absolute act of unfettered carnage he has wrought across the #NHS It's a low bar- but wow he was a diabolically poor Health Secretary. @RoyLilley @HSJEditor @JanetEastham

A reminder to @RCPhysicians about what Fellows voted for in an EGM IN 2024 And how data was presented- with it's subsequent fall out due to data manipulation- resulting in resignations Lessons from the past: 1. Don't manipulate responses to suit a narrative. 2. Don't ignore Fellows and their views by use of 'process' Yes- standing by that narrative cost me- yet I haven't budged an inch from that philosophy. Less Chicanery, More Leadership. I repeat: The @lengreview clinical protocols for PAs should be rejected -if nothing else- on grounds of presumed COI by contributors. Also- PAs should NOT be seeing undifferentiated patients. Full stop. @Mumtaz_Patel_1 @OGMustafa @HilaryWMedic

Basically...what the powers that be are saying is this. 'We can't afford the NHS. And to sustain it, you, staff, need to take a below inflation pay-rise aka a cut.' Now- to improve work productivity, you need a couple of other things- beyond pay. Good working conditions, less discrimination The NHS can't offer any of the above. And wonders why the NHS isn't productive. Workforce planning is an ethereal thing in the UK health care system. So we are where we are.

You have to love the fact that it's been 18 months since this started @NHSE_WTE And there are still focus groups running on this... While we await a report which will confirm that the Pope is indeed Catholic. And lots of things will be said, asked and pontificated over. But without any funding- thus based on love, vibes and prayers. Incoming...soon. Then again, it comes from the stable of those who categorically stood against Motion 5 of the @RCPhysicians EGM passing. Evans, Powis, McLeod, Dacre, Whitty et al. Reminder of that motion 5: "Demand of a formal pause or slow-down in the deployment and recruitment of PAs until wider medico-legal issues, regulation standards, and exact scopes of practice are legally resolved" History is such a lovely thing. @djnicholl @mmamas1973 @Shr_Nottingham @dieracg @Dr_Done_ @PhilSmithIsBack @G_D_Phillips1
Today we have started a review of postgraduate medical training led by @NHSEnglandNMD and @CMO_England Listen to @NavinaEvans explaining more. Find out more at england.nhs.uk/postgraduate-โ€ฆ
