A yosegi woodwork otter pendant I made a video showing some of the steps involved in creating this piece🎥 The beautiful, timeworn wood used for this one is a very rare type of buried oak🪵 When wood remains buried underwater or in the ground for hundreds or even thousands of years, it is said to gradually turn grey throughout, even deep inside the wood. This was the first time we had ever come across wood like this at Long Tail! It was quite challenging to work with, as it shrank and cracked during drying more than any wood we've encountered before. But I'm so glad we managed to bring this little otter to life! I've skipped quite a few steps in the video, but I hope you enjoy watching it☺️ This otter pendant will be available through @broto_project
