Maybe London will introduce some sort of congestion charge to address this.

This is Mrs Thatcher appearing on Saturday Superstore. Idea that past politicians didn鈥檛 do anything beyond news interviews is just nostalgia.
When Thatcher was Prime Minister, she reportedly slept for 4 hours per night, worked up until 2am and didn鈥檛 like going on holidays. Fast forward 30+ years and our current Prime Minister has enough time to do a softball interview on LADbible and appear on Googlebox. Decline.

And many people who voted Labour were fed up with the state of public services. The idea that a government could simply cut spending on a bloated state is fantasy.

It's all a bit odd... Does Haldane have a history of fiscal hawkishness? If he does then I don't remember it. And the UK might be currently sensitive to higher taxes, and people might not want to pay anymore, but we are objectively not a high tax country.

What do you think voters want from the budget, Labas Vakaras10? What could a government do to make the voters happy?

I have to wonder if all of those people saying Lowe fully understand who he is and the politics he represents

Somewhere people could do shorter courses in applied technical subjects? Yes, that would be good.

I'm going for things best consumed at room temperature - brandy, whiskey etc. It's difficult to stockpile ice cubes and I'd rather die in whatever the coming armageddon is than drink warm g&t.

Where is this supposed to be going? Is there an expectation that voters will be persuaded that Andy Burnham is basically Hitler and consequently flock to Reform? Not sure that's going to happen.

Tony Cunningham did a degree while he was a footballer. Might still be working as a solicitor.

I did slightly wonder then thought maybe it's some kind of birthday reunion with some old mates from a cans of export and shots of green chartreuse time of life. It looks like a club though (i.e. a clerb).

And when we recently did have civil unrest here, and the state came down like a ton of bricks, people complained.

Mine didn't. I can't repeat some of the descriptions I read about that display.

Yes. There's no electorate for minimal state libertarianiam, certainly not in peripheral northern towns.
