We are excited to announce that James Spence is our second winner of Best Performer in a Musical at The Stage #DebutAwards 2026, for Thespians at Mercury Theatre, Colchester and on tour. Our judging panel said: “Spence was a supremely confident Thespis, giving superb leading-man energy with vulnerability beneath the gloss, and a warmth that had the audience rooting for him from the outset” Congratulations, James 🎉 Category sponsor: @mharrison_entertainment Headline sponsor: @Netflix

Cranes over at the Broadway Studio in Catford is a promising debut from Demi Wilson-Smith. Rather joyously there was a woman teaching origami in the bar, so here’s my crane

Adored the new adaptation of Three Men In A Boat @Rosetheatre last night. Mayhem, music hall style, which also addresses themes of friendship, grief and how men cope with emotions.

Well into my first week @edfringe but really surprised at how many companies have no full credits or production images available. Reviews need this information. Digital is fine, but give us the credits so that we can give you the credit.

So glad I got to see boobytrapped @theSpaceUK last night. A sensitive, thoughtful comedy putting a trans spin on Freaky Friday. Great work from @notitstheatre

OMZ! I adored Thespians, Mischief Theatre’s first stab at a musical. It’s very funny and beautifully written. It’s its last performance today at the Mercury Theatre but catch it on tour!

I might not be a makeup artist but this @GETSETGOBAGS is perfect for plein air painting. Holds all my brushes, clips, paints palettes and wipes. Freezing on the Southbank today but I had all my kit with me.

It’s a two show day today, but first a jaunt into the West End for a little light Xmas shopping. Then off to Bromley for Beauty & The Beast at the Churchill followed by Goldilocks in Milton Keynes.

So it’s Panto Day and I’m up before the judge. Judge Rinder that is and Lesley Joseph at the NewVictoria in Woking. My second Snow White of the season and my first of a 4 show weekend.

I wonder if the Ascot Gavotte will be re-worked into Pink Pony Club? #pantovsmusicals

In a complete change of pace, today I am off to the @MillAtSonning to catch its new production of My Fair Lady. I was lucky enough to catch Joseph Pitcher’s production here in 2017, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
