haha wow so fun posting fanfiction without the creator's consent so the creator receives zero benefit from their work being used. but hey! as long as you the fandom are entertained right?

I just think this is a weird attitude for fandom, which as a whole relies on the original creator's acceptance of their work leaving their hands and taking on a life of its own

ao3 shutdown is going to be catastrophic for me bc I've been reading old fav comic book arcs and if get into comics again it might actually kill me you can't comprehend how miserable it is to be a DC fan

do you think in the mha universe that instead of telling someone they’re washed they just comment a picture of pro hero wash and that’s why he’s still in the top ten it’s because he’s a meme?

people diminishing fanfic writers for using characters that already exist instead of “coming up with something new” but i think it is a genuine skill the way some authors can so accurately interpret a pre-existing character and extrapolate with that

The most chilling aspect of Naruto is Kakashi as a cautionary tale about what happens to you if you’re good at your job

we have got to stop pretending it's some intern running corporate social media accounts like they don't have whole specialized marketing teams overseeing every post and comment. that's how they get you
