Our max velocity sprint top 5 lists this week with the 30/10yd fly! A lot of PRs from both Elective PE and freshmen classes! They have been doing a great job of competing against their peers and some trash talking has been going on with some shuffling of names in the top 5!

This is why I love having our @OVRPerformance timing gates to time our sprints! A middle school class was doing a walk up and down our high school bleachers to remember the fallen first responders on 9/11/2001 at the World Trade Towers. (1/3)

I was finishing up a couple of sprints myself during my prep time and some of them asked to race me. Of course, I couldn't turn down the challenge..lol. After I ran against a couple of them, they started running against each other. (2/3)

Each kid probably ran more than 5 sprints and were trash talking the whole time. It was awesome! The MS classes in the afternoon did the same after my high school classes were done with them. Loved seeing them compete! I wish I would have taken more video/pictures. (3/3)

We've gotten the school year off to a great start in our sprints! We've got a good group of freshmen and sophomores that are hungry and competing for the top spots in our top 5. The freshman only classes are bringing the energy and are enjoying the competition as well!
