I love everything about this.
This is Molly Tuttle and the Golden Highway performing a bluegrass rendition of the Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”.
Its World Lion Day. Many of these amazing cats are still trapped in worn torn and 3rd world countries, where they shouldn't be. Jason from Animals Lebanon has two more cubs that need to be rescued. Goal is to get them to a sanctuary in Africa. He has to keep them in his apartment for safe keeping. The same is going on in Ukraine but even worse. I have been told by a rescue group the Russians have used them for sport. Who knows what is going on in other countries? If there is no respect for human life, Im sure there probably won't be any for animals as well.
The slogan that keeps coming to mind is "No More Chains."
Seeing elephants and other animals chained is heartbreaking. It makes me sad, angry, and determined to help create change. One of the biggest challenges is that in many places these practices are deeply rooted in culture and tradition, stretching back for generations. Real change requires understanding, education, and people within those communities who are willing to lead a different path forward.
That is why individuals like Kartick Satyanarayan and Ravi Corea inspire me. They are working from within their own cultures to improve the lives of these animals and create more humane solutions.
I recently had a great Zoom conversation with Ravi and Andy Blue. Ravi and his team work in Sri Lanka, home to the world's second-largest population of Asian elephants. As the human population and farming communities have expanded, conflict between people and elephants has increased, resulting in tragic losses on both sides.
Rather than accepting this as inevitable, Ravi and his organization have combined research, innovation, and community engagement to develop practical ways for humans and elephants to coexist. Their work shows that conservation is not just about protecting wildlife—it is about finding solutions that allow both people and animals to thrive together.
As we are still in the midst of relaunching Animal Movers Mission Critical, I am still inspired with some of the people I met and their stories. With all the bad in the world, you have people like Lionel de Lange who is in the Ukraine rescuing animals while the horrors of war rages on. At night he volunteers for anti- drone defense, then by day he goes into hostile areas to rescue animals and bring food to starving pets. He has even rescued lions and trying to save an elephant that is suffering from PTSD. Look forward to helping Lionel and filming his story.
Way to go Steve....

Dabo Swinney shares what it takes to be great and it starts with how you prepare.
"You gotta embrace the suck."
"There's a lot of it that just sucks and you gotta fall in love with that part if you're gonna do anything great in life."
"All the great players that I've been around - the preparation is what separates them. They love the preparation."
Everybody loves the games, but are you willing to do the work to prepare.
What does your preparation ethic look like?
"It's falling in love and embracing the suck along the way - that's what separates us."
It means falling in love with the process.
Process over outcome.

Human kindness is never overrated, and when this man gave all and had no more left to give, the human spirit shined brightly in these competitors..
Some passed him by, watching him fall, but those who picked him up and helped him finish are the real winners.

Derby Weekend @KentuckyDerby . Flashback when we filmed with @BobBaffert. Great experience, the energy was insane. We were the only crew cleared to film with him behind the scenes. We had to set our cameras down just for the Derby race itself. However, Bob then yells at me “hey Cowboy you are walking with us, get over here”. Walking the track then the explosion from the crowd was amazing. Major highlight. Bob had a great team. They love their horses. Glad to see him back at the Derby. Would not count him out.

This fan with down syndrome waited for Erik Lira who hugged the fan, posed for a photo, and even gave him his jersey. A beautiful moment for Erik and a moment this fan will remember for the rest of his life 🥹⚽️
Just heard Paramount green lit another Top Gun. Reflecting back, the last one is going to be hard to beat. One of the best and most challenging projects I have worked on. Great Crew. Scouting some of the the air to air combat scenes involved traveling 120 miles out to no mans land and then hike up to 8K to 12K feet up a mountain sitting there with camera and radio waiting for the pilots to let me know if they are coming by. Exhausting but rewarding. Cool thing was to do things that will probably never be replicated. I have done 3 movies with Mr. Cruise, I can tell you this, the camera will not roll if that script is not perfect.
As we are moving forward with Animal Movers, our goal is to help with the rescue of certain animals that are trapped in war torn countries. Had a zoom call to Beirut with a group that is trying to save some lion cubs. Jason with Animals Lebanon is keeping this cub in his apartment away from the bombing. Andy Blue who is with us already got 3 cubs out before the bombing started. There are some really good people out there.
Was lucky enough to watch @ArmedDangerQBS work with @CostelliPeter . Nothing changes through the years Steve always making players focus on every little detail to improve. Cool to see them work together.
