Wrote about Northern Arizona’s Chris Komin on Monday on the fact that I really like the California native's ability to create shots for himself.
Had a strong end to his freshman season in big sky play last season and last night vs UNLV, he finished with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals in 32 minutes on 8-12 shooting.
He's got a slender frame but knows how to use his body to create some space, has a really pretty shot, he's also very quick and bouncy, just a really fun kid to watch that should have a big sophomore season.
Really impressive all-around performance from LSU's Saliou Niang tonight
The 6-8 junior forward who transferred over from Virtus Bologna in the EL showcased pretty early signs of elite defensive instincts and motor, finishing with 14 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals in just 23 minutes of action.
Goes without out saying the impact he's about to make this season for LSU, a legitimate top wing defender in the nation that also offers strong playmaking chops, rebounding and athleticism.
DePaul has a really nice buy-low portal addition with 6-5 ASU transfer Noah Meeusen. Noah who's now playing his natural position at PG had 11 points, 8 assists, 7 boards with just one turnover against West Georgia yesterday.
Had at least 5 absurd finds out of the PNR that threw off the UWG defenders, has some really good feel and vision, he's also a really good point of the attack defender with really good hands on defense
Does a lot of great things for a pass-first PG.
The college season has begun so here are my 40 favorite under the radar guys at the D1 level for the 2026-2027 season.

Winthrop's Keshawn Fisher had his breakout party this morning going for 32 points vs Queens in Rock Hill
The 6-7 Detroit native was all over the floor bringing in relentless effort on both ends, Fisher finished with 32 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals on 12/15 FG and shot 5/8 from deep
Fisher pulled Winthrop back in this one after being down by 20 at one point, a taller G/F that has impressive length, ball skills, strong defensive processing and perimeter scoring.
High upside
As I'm writing my favorite under the radar sleepers heading into college basketball
Winthrop's Keshawn Fisher is showcasing why he's a legitimate HM talent, thought so out of HS at River Rouge, it's taken a year, I think now he's found the perfect spot to break out.
Has looked great on both ends today vs Queens.
Impressive debut performance from 6-10 Norte Dame Sophomore F Brady Koehler
The native of fishers, IN impacted the game on both ends, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks on 6-13 shooting
Moves well for his height, has the ability to create of the bounce with his handle, can actually use his body to create some openings out of the PNR, I was very impressed how he processed the game then defensively was all over the place, with his length and athleticism.
Brady Koehler making winning plays left and right
The 6-10 Norte Dame sophomore has looked really awesome in Italy today
Intriguing flashes from 6-7 point forward Felipe Minzer vs IU Indy on Tuesday night
The 6-7/220 19-year old Argentine freshman is coming off a strong first year stateside during his senior season in the grind session. Thought he had a lot of impressive moments vs IU indy going for 16 points, 8 rebounds, 9 rebounds, 4 steals on 5-10 shooting.
Came away with the game-winning stop, has really good feel and hands on the defensive end, has the ability to push and generate offense from defense, having a savvy handle and strength/size that makes him a threat in the PNR.
While it wasn't all pretty, throwing some plays away, the clear flashes are there for him to maybe be an conference talent as a freshman. Next to star guard Zyree Collins who went for 32 and a dominant paint scorer in Rashaud Marshall, Austin Peay arguably has the best trio in the UAC this season.
Austin Peay's as good as anyone when it comes to high school evaluation and have yet another great class.
UCLA's 6-9 G/F 17-year old Nikola Kusturica flashes on both ends last night vs CBU, he combines his gifted tools with arguably one of the highest motors in the nation.
The efficiency wasn't great, but Kusturica can impact the game in so many different facets if the shot isn't falling. He filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 0 turnovers, 5 steals, 2 blocks in just 24 minutes and was a +39 in those minutes for the Bruins.
Very impactful defender that has the ability to turn defense into offense, being a very fluid athlete and handler at his frame. Grabbed 4 offensive rebounds using his length and with his long arms, he can easily pin shots at the rim then push the tempo as a taller guard.
He's 17 for the entire NCAA season, which is crazy to think about, with how many upperclassmen's are starting for HM teams, but that will undoubtedly help him grow this season.
Louisville’s Obinna Ekezie Jr looked fantastic coming off the bench at Kansas
Obinna had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks and went 4-6 from 3, playing just 19 minutes
The 7-2, 240 freshman from Nigeria stood out defensively, was all over the place defensively, running the floor, contesting shots and using his freakish 7-5 wingspan
The 18-year old had reclassed up to the 2026 class after a strong season at Southeastern Prep, immediately showcasing his NBA upside for the Cardinals.
Very impressive performance by Duke freshman guard Deron Rippey Jr vs Tennessee today
Rippey had 21 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists in just 21 minutes of play on 9-12 shooting
Played a very strong game, is a tenacious on-ball defender, was very comfortable on offense, finding a role that best fits him, just impacts winning when he’s in control.
Saliou Niang is a clear top INTL prospect heading into the SEC this season, the 22 year old from Italy has reportedly received his NCAA clearance and will play for LSU this season
The 6-8 forward was a fantastic connective playmaker for Virus last season, he's a elite on-ball defender with strong athleticism, can handle it if needed, great cutter, passer and finisher
Expected to make a big impact and push for the NBA after this season.
St John's PG 🏴Quinn Ellis played a near perfect game in their hectic 4-OT exhibition win over Rutgers yesterday
The Senior guard who played last season in the Euroleague for Olimpia Milano, totaled in 13 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 6 stocks with just one turnover, in 56 minutes of action
Ellis is a true do-it all PG at 6-5, changed St John's offense in the second half as he carefully controlled the tempo and pace, plays fast, always hunting for trailers/shooters. He combines the playmaking with a quick first step, strong pull-up game and is a terrific guard defender with great hands,
56 minutes of a non-stop effort and playing basketball without forcing anything, as poised of a PG you'll find this season.

Florida State’s Kam Taylor had a very impressive game in his team’s win against Auburn.
The 6’7 Junior Guard finished with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal on 50/50/100 splits.
Taylor has the potential to be one of the biggest risers in this seasons NBA Draft, and he showed why today with an impressive showcase of athleticism, shooting, defensive impact, rim pressure, and foul drawing.
Dominant offensive rebounding performance from Florida State freshman Marcis Ponder
The 7-0, 285 pound freshman was ultra dominant crashing the glass using his monster frame to bully Auburn’s frontcourt
Ponder had 13 points, 21 rebounds (12 offensive rebounds) 3 blocks, 83% at the line, in just 25 minutes
Brought tremendous effort on both ends, had better processing today, capable free throw shooter, draws a lot of contact and was a massive boost for Luke Loucks squad.
After getting denied NCAA eligibility to play at Utah for academic reasons, the 21-year old Noam Yaacov, has signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he’ll play in the G-league.
Broke out for Oostende in the BNXT this past season averaging 18.2 PPG and 6 APG, Noam would’ve been one of the best international players in the nation but will instead still play in the US, just for the Cleveland Charge.
Utah officially announces the commitment of Noam Yaacov
The 6-2 Israeli guard has had a breakout season for Filou Oostende averaging 18 PPG and 5.9 APG, while shooting 50/40/77 splits
Noam's been one of the best PG prospects in Europe who's never made the move to NCAA, now does so
He's a high level shot maker, unbelieve passer who should produce some eye-popping numbers for Utah next season.
Duke’s Dame Sarr looked a lot more assertive and aggressive tonight vs Belmont.
The 6-8 Italian wing had 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 3’s and consistently generated free throws for himself attacking Belmont’s defense
Albeit an Exhibition, was encouraged by Sarr’s aggressiveness and leadership throughout this game, went for second chance opportunities, ran the PNR well at times and was aggressive attacking the rim
Unbelievable defender last season but the offensive development should bode well for Sarr’s NBA stock
