You don't have to debate anybody if you're not here to do that you can just ignore anybody bringing that energy
My toxic trait is I still hold the perhaps naive and uneducated opinion that health care costs are a supply problem and free markets are how you fix supply problems
In retrospect it's weird that even pre-Obamacare I only had this problem on 1099 but when I was W2 I could hop on the employer's major insurer no questions asked. Not sure how the actuarial math mathed behind the scenes.

Never thought I'd miss having to settle on account of my preexisting condition for some sketchy nameless insurance policy I wasn't sure would ever even pay out, but it was cheap af and I miss those days
tfw you want to start arguing with chatgpt halfway through a long response so you write down what you want to say then go back and impatiently read the remainder
The search for the ultimate meaning of it all may be a legitimate pursuit but I am discovering it's possible to confuse it for the search for the much more local meaning of all your longstanding psychological hangups.
Beginning to suspect a lot of people who think they need to find the former really need to find the latter.
You spend a suspiciously large amount of time on here for somebody who likes to talk about attachment
Again my only contribution to DST discourse is if we make DST permanent we need to rotate all remaining analog clocks 30 degrees to the left and start calling 1:00 noon
It is absolutely possible to get addicted to a sad fantasy, such that when you receive definitive proof of the person's happiness, your relief for them is momentary and is followed by desolation, meaninglessness, pointlessness
Don't, uh, don't ask me how I know
you think i am okay but at all times i am carrying all the jokes i choose to not make here cause i don’t actually agree with the assumptions behind them and the internet is a negativity multiplier and those jokes will be amplified by people who do believe those assumptions and use them to hate on others or themselves
Gained about 30 lbs over the past two years and I'm at the exact age my dad was when he suddenly gained weight making me think the fix was in, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to come on here and say poasting makes you fat

This message needs to be preached—and she said it well.
I'd urge my fellow Ghanaians—let's strive for a parental culture in which the simplest thing for children to do is talk to their parents about their problems.
Quietness is not proof that all is fine!
Young people often joke about these things in our skits—about how hard it is to communicate for fear of having their heads bitten off—but it's a real issue.
Many young people cannot confide in their parents because they are used to being shouted at and silenced, complained about and made to feel troublesome, or punished. At a young age, therefore, they become somewhat distant, if only to seem perfect.
A quiet child is not necessarily a well-adjusted child; they may have just learned not to speak. So let's stop praising parents who raise their children to be so quiet. That, in and of itself, doesn't signal proper upbringing.
Too many young people deal with really serious things alone, for far too long—and then it's too late. Many young lives are lost, one way or another, because of this.
I couldn't possibly know the full history of this truly tragic event. But how tragic to lose a son only three days after learning about his struggles. May the Spirit of God comfort the bereaved friends and family!
The father of a teen killed in a shooting in the Bronx spoke through tears as he remembered his son.

“Today, we constantly criticize ourselves—and rightly so. But people ought to ask themselves: ‘From what point of view do we criticize? From what point of view are we entitled to say, “This is bad”?’”
