The game was highly entertaining, and how it tracks in viewer data will be equally as interesting.

ABC not only showing El Clasico but also an hour long pregame show. This is not a small thing.

A synopsis of Manchester United over the last 13 years. I wanted to go tactical but honestly there's no point.

Plank by Plank. Is this still Manchester United?

Anyone know where the suggestion box is so I can toss in the idea that alerts simply about major road closures should not use the same alarming sound efx that is also used for active tornados, incoming nukes or other impending doom? Christ almighty. 🫪

It will be (insert your prefered adjective here) when next season Manchester’s City and United are both relegated, plying their games in the Championship - for wildly different but equally deserving reasons.

The entirety of last season’s run was built on three things: fixing the obvious, a light schedule & Bruno being on a heater. There was all kinds of redflags to keeping Carrick but they also couldn’t fairly deny him. So, Bruno going flat + poor window = here they are.

Since the 23/24 season, United is 1-2-1 at home(!) v Bournemouth, who are actually behind in the table but can leap ahead w/ an equally much needed win. So now the 2 sides of the “Bruno problem”: he’s both too improv for a team system but also the single source of playmaking 🫣

ahhh. “The fractured lockeroom” never ends well. 😑

I’m just as bummed as anyone, but the outrage at Schoder and Garton for selling is misguided. A search for a buyer that would both not tear it down and keep it a performance venue failed. Schoder’s lesson of CD World, as told in @RobertWilonsky story, is an interesting detail.

I’m curious the last time this person attended a Granada show or ate at the Sundowner. And then if it was even once in the last year, the time(s) before that. btw, the attempt to sell it was not a secret. I heard about it two years ago.

That was a great watch, and very impressive performance by Villa.

Aston Villa are the first side to beat Enzo Maresca's Manchester City in the Premier League. Nicolas Jackson's brace ends the Citizens' 100% start to the season. ⚽️⚽️

Been asked a couple of times to explain the 1st: closed it comes off as “dense and heavy” than it looks But then you open it and it suddenly feels “light and thin” than it looks neither is a negative, it’s just a weird illusion the fold format creates.
peter@peet2Oct 23
Duo kneejerk observations: ˚ there's an odd physical weight illusion that changes closed v open ˚ feels supremely premium ˚ matte inside screen is very viewable ˚ neither screen layout is intuative for normal 1-hand usage ˚ shocked to learn you can't (easily) open w/ 1hand
