I finally got to wear the silly, funny hat last week.
Now I am flu-like-symptom-but-Covid-negative sick post-travelling. So it is as good a time as ever to do the big thank you post I’ve been putting off for so long.

Its President is dismayed too. Next year will be 30 years since my first full-time lectureship in a university. I can't recall a more incompetent or brutal treatment of a group of close colleagues that this one by the Australian Catholic University.

This shocking disestablishment of our MEMS team is part of a broader cut of 33 academic jobs across the university including inter alia the disestablishment of our entire philosophy institute as well.

We urge the @ACUmedia to reconsider its decision to disestablish the Medieval and Early Modern Studies research program and also its targeting of historians more broadly at ACU. These are bad decisions.

Solidarity with everyone at ACU. If you ran across me during my PhD, you would have heard me sing the praises of our department at any opportunity I got. ACU History punches so far above its weight, and there is so much wonderful work being done there. This is criminal.
