The conditions allowing for the safe return of Ms. Machado to Venezuela is the direct result of the U.S. supported reconciliation talks which has already seen hundreds of political prisoners freed and hundreds of political opposition figures return from exile. The United States expects the freedoms of all sectors of Venezuelan politics to continue to be respected. Likewise, we expect all political actors to support these talks which represent the best chance Venezuela has had in thirty years to peacefully achieve not just a free and fair election but an enduring democracy.

Marco Rubio seems to suggest Maria Corina's return was conditional with the US expecting her not to obstruct the political process they currently have going with Delcy Rodriguez. Her supporters and the people at large on the other hand, would want her to do the exact opposite. Venezuela 🇻🇪

Georgia voters are mad. They’re pessimistic about the nation’s direction. And they’re heading into the final full week of an exhausting election spoiling to make their voices heard. ajc.com/politics/2026/10/pol…

This little prayer card to Our Lady of Coromoto, patroness of Venezuela, was in my late father’s wallet for years. I pray today, now that María Corina Machado is back in her homeland, for peace, justice, and reconciliation in Venezuela. 🇺🇸🙏🇻🇪

The stat I've been tracking in Georgia: The 15 biggest blue counties made up 49.9% of all ballots cast as of this equivalent day in 2024. As of tonight, they make up 54.5% of the total ballots cast.

@EdKrassen Ed Krassenstein Obama just had a mic drop moment, mocking Trump: “He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It's gold everywhere.”

“He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened up a Cheesecake Factory" Obama just spoke to an ELECTRIC audience in Ohio, skewering Trump and Pete Hegseth and making the case that while we may be stuck with the same president for two more years, we are not stuck with a spineless do-nothing Congress Here are the highlights:

Obama just said Trump turned the White House into “Saddam Hussein opening a Cheesecake Factory.” That’s not a joke. That’s the most accurate description of Trump’s tacky, authoritarian, gold-plated circus. A dictator’s kitsch mixed with cheap American excess.

Cheesecake Factory interiors are famously over-the-top and gaudy. "Like a Cheesecake Factory designed by Saddam" is actually a great description of what Trump has done to the White House.
Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?

Wait I never knew this. Beck saying Hansel was kinda based on him because of the Hansen name and that whole freewheeling vibe actually makes sense, and him turning the part down so Bowie got it instead is funny. Fallon’s reaction was perfect.
WAIT… DID HE REALLY JUST SAY THAT?! The conversation takes an unexpected turn, and even the host has to react! Watch until the end because his response is something you don’t want to miss!

About 75% of GA's vote in 2024 was cast early (in person +mail). Only 25% on Election Day. If black voters can remain at the 33% level in the EV, they should finish no worse than 30% of the total electorate by the close of e-day.
NYT: Georgia’s voters, by race (Early and mail voters) 2026 (so far) White 52% [+19] Black 33% Other/unknown 15% —— 2022 White 57% [+28] Black 29% Other/unknown 13% —— 2024 White 57% [+31] Black 26% Other/unknown 16%

This is significant.
As turnout in Texas nears 3 million votes, Hispanic turnout is now exceeding presidential levels. More Hispanics have voted than did at this point in the 2024 presidential election. What's driving this huge increase? Young voters.
