Fantastic shots of 75014 in action before heading out of service for her 2026 overhaul. 🚂
Built in '51, withdrawn in '66, Braveheart was rescued in '81 and returned to steam in '94.
Due to undergo her second major overhaul, we look forward to welcoming her back.

HOME.
The Artemis II crew has arrived back on Earth, ending a nearly 10-day journey around the Moon. The trip took them farther into space than humans have ever gone before, and now they're safely home with us.

Fact: San Francisco airport has an anxiety therapy pig that is dressed in different costumes to help relieve stress in nervous passengers.
We do a very similar thing here, except ours is dressed in a bun with egg, lettuce and tomato and is served with fries.

📹 🌊 A year ago we shared footage of #Dawlish sea wall withstanding Storm Ciarán.
Five-metre waves at high tide. Wind speeds of over 80mph.
This time, the town was protected by a new sea wall, which held up against severe weather conditions:

As an aside, I assume that the decision by Avanti West Coast to lay on a series of Pride-themed carriages to take people back from a Reform UK conference is entirely coincidental.

‘Twas the night before voting, when all through the nation
People looked up the details of their polling station.
Fibs had been told by politicians desperate for votes
About taxes and housing and those on small boats
While across the UK there was much corruption chatter
With Conservative candidates keen to sidestep the matter
Knocking on doors, they found the public most vocal
They begged: “Please support us; we’re not Tories, we’re local!”
With Lib Dem Ed Davey having the time of his life
And Farage returning to cause Tory strife
They left Keir's Labour troops well placed for success
All set for five years to clean up the mess
Campaigning all done, the teams gave a whistle,
Raced back to London at the speed of a missile
But I heard them exclaim, as they got on their bus
“HAPPY ELECTIONS TO ALL, AND PLEASE VOTE FOR US!”

Sound on!🔊
Before you read on... this is 100% real and NOT a late April Fools joke! 🚫
Officers at our Roads Policing base in Bicester have been left a little confused this week, after finding out one of their resident birds has learnt to mimic the sound of a police siren! 🚨

As accurately observed elsewhere, #AprilFoolsDay appears to be the only day of the year where people apply critical reasoning to anything they see or read.
