Russia has officially withdrawn from the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
That's hardly surprising, because Russia systematically tortures POWs.
What is shocking is that Farage and Badenoch want the UK to join Russia and Belarus as the only European nations outside the ECHR, an outcome which would be a huge victory for Putin. What does that say about their patriotism, or rather lack of it, and their respect for human rights? I believe it renders both unfit to sit in Parliament, let alone lead the country.
