13 years ago, I was incredibly fortunate that a random offer to connect good people turned into a friendship with @alexisohanian. Years later, Alexis and I got to work together on creating an incredible video series called #SmallEmpires, which set a new standard for long-form video content that was centered around startups. I got to know Alexis well during that time and discovered that he is 1) a really good human 2) incredibly dedicated to whatever he is focused on 3) always made time to listen to / mentor founders and 4) is dedicated to giving the folks around him opportunities whenever possible. He gave me the opportunity to come aboard at @Reddit in 2014 and we spearheaded some really bold & beautiful initiatives during that time. Reddit would not exist without Alexis. Part of the reason Reddit became such a vibrant community is all credit to Alexis' empathy, curiosity and dogged persistence to promote and protect the 'front page of the Internet'. Thanks for the opportunities, congratulations on this milestone – and can't wait to see what lies ahead.
