Nigel wood was appointed by Derek Beaumont and (checks notes)… London Broncos CEO Gary Hetherington
I wonder how many people were fans of the grading system when it first came in are now saying how rubbish it is because they don’t like the outcome?
Vaalepu, Ashworth and now this. What has happened to our recruitment?!

Shit that this can’t be kept quiet until an official announcement. Crazy to pick Miller over Field, and if Hanley qualifies then French should be in as well. Pleased for Joffa, pretty much carried Leigh’s pack this year.
Exclusive: The Super League Dream Team has been dominated by Leeds Rhinos, with only two Wigan Warriors players included.

We signed Vaalepu because we thought he’d be an asset in the play offs. Now he can’t even make the Cas bench

Here's how your Tigers will line up for the final time in 2026 ⚫️🟡🐯

So the team that finishes bottom are already selling tickets for a Super League game next year in Vegas. While a team in 8th still don’t know for sure that they won’t be relegated. Classic rugby league logic.
Davis and O’Brien extending?

Leigh Leopards would like extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to five players who will leave the club at the conclusion of the 2026 season to pursue new opportunities.
Isaac Liu, Robbie Mulhern, Ben McNamara and Bailey Hodgson will all continue their careers within Super League, while Owen Trout will head to Australia to pursue an exciting opportunity in the NRL.

Leigh Leopards can confirm that Lazarus Vaalepu will be joining Castleford Tigers for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Speaking on the loan agreement, Director of Rugby Andrew Henderson said:
“Lazarus has spent the past two weeks on loan with Oldham in the Championship progressing his game and playing a part in Oldham securing two vital wins over Sheffield and London.
The opportunity to join Castleford on loan now gives him the chance to build his minutes, confidence, and momentum at Super League level. It’s a good fit for all parties, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on his progress.”
Just when we thought we'd done a good swap with Cas with Senior and McIntosh, we go and effectively swap Mulhern for Ashworth. Cant figure out not offering Mulhern a deal, then giving Ashworth 2 years.
🐆 One in, one out for Leigh.
A swap deal takes immediate effect with Castleford as Jack Ashworth arrives at the Leopards’ Den and Lazarus Vaalepu moves to The Jungle.
Ashworth permanent until the end of 2028, Vaalepu a loan until end of 2026.

I wonder how many lit cigarettes were dropped by people jumping out of their skin at that alert earlier
Hodkinson hat trick incoming
Some great derby mind games from Leigh coach Adrian Lam - who insists the contacts he still has in the Wigan camp have told him Liam Marshall is a doubt to play tomorrow night!
