I don't share ideas with my partner any more because I'm always wrong. However, if they get the same suggestion from a mate they'll like it. I now just drop things out to their mates and wait for my ideas to get back to them. Ludicrous success rate.

Early morning worker. Usually pop to Greggs for hot drink/butty deal on way. Staff pre-make my coffee when spotting me in queue & always give me extra bacon in butty. Sometimes I fancy something else but can't risk changing & maybe losing the extra bacon bonus.

I was in my 50s before I learned that the meat that we eat is animal muscle. I think I'd vaguely assumed that cows, pigs and sheep had some sort of 'meat' layer from which we obtained the various cuts of meat. Soon after this epiphany I became vegetarian.

On electric trains, I have strong preferences for IGBT harmonics over GTO harmonics and get very annoyed if there are train announcements that speak over the motor hum. Nobody needs to hear "say it sorted" again.

For at least twenty years, in every hotel I've stayed in, if there's a Bible I've signed it 'Cheers for believing, all the best, Jesus'. As a full-time touring musician it's well past the thousand mark by now.

Lads holiday to Benidorm and I got a bit carried away ordering shots. When the eye-watering bill came in I 'tried' to pay using a supermarket loyalty card instead of my bank one. Bar maid just thought it wouldn't connect so made one of my mates foot the bill instead.

Found a large-ish insect half on the cutting board after the wife made stew. Opted not to tell her as she'd hate having to throw the lot out and be off her mood all night.
