Had a very cool #mailday a few weeks ago.
Check this out! Those are one of a kind, hand-painted versions of two of my favorite cards of all-time.
Shout out to the talented @ElSantosWorld for doing the work. Give him your money!

Your Cards of the Day: Batting helmets were made mandatory in 1971. Active players who wore inserts in their caps were allowed to continue until retirement. Bob Montgomery was last to battle sans helmet in 1979. Norm Cash and Tony Taylor were the others grandfathered in.

As the @whitesox once again capture baseball fans' attention with their exciting postseason run, it is the perfect time to celebrate one of the most important figures in franchise history: Dick Allen. Long before today's playoff excitement, Allen helped reinvigorate the White Sox, energized a fan base, and played a pivotal role in keeping the franchise rooted in Chicago.
His remarkable story is at the heart of My Father, Dick Allen, the acclaimed documentary series based on the 2022 book Chili Dog MVP: Dick Allen, The 1972 White Sox and a Transforming Chicago, by John Owens and me.
We are thrilled to bring @dickallen15film to Northwestern University for a special screening of Episodes 1 and 4. This event is more than a look back at baseball history. It celebrates an extraordinary athlete, a transformative moment for the White Sox, and a legacy that continues to inspire generations.

It was called "The Shot Heard 'Round the World," but did Bobby Thomson's homer actually extend around the globe? Thanks to help from Thomson's children, I reached his extended family that still lives in Glasgow to reflect on the HR's 75th anniversary

Cubs Page a Day 2.
End of 49B and start of 50B. I love the images of Wrigley in the 50 Bowmans. No basket, no scoreboards, no club seating, and no rooftop bleachers but the ivy is there and you can make out the turret at 3701 N Kenmore behind Bob Rush (C1)

You know what they say ... It's best to go into the playoffs ice cold after traveling across the country twice, playing a doubleheader, and having your Game 1 starter dealing with shoulder soreness.

If baseball is a religion in Japan, Koshien Stadium is its holiest shrine. Visiting the museum was like walking into a time capsule of baseball devotion: Memorabilia, trophies, and jerseys from over 100 years of Koshien tournaments history fill the space. Take a look. 🇯🇵 ⚾
