i really don't think we should be mass-sharing epubs of fanfic, man. even though it's public, it just seems rude and inconsiderate to take the distribution away from writers like that. go to your favourite authors' social medias and politely ask if they'd be willing to share.

there is definitely an irony in the mass uploading of downloaded fics to google drive where it can now be used to train gemini. ao3 was created as a safe haven for writers to share their works without fear of legal prosecution. it was not made solely for readers, and it is +

"dont post on a site that has a download button on the top of the page then" yes and every fucking website on earth has a 'download image' button on art posts but you all know not to repost peoples art onto other sites dont you. dont be fucking obtuse.
I wonder if it’s Hugh Abroad my scottish king I don’t really follow any influencers/youtubers but I love him 🥹🥹🥹 and he replies to my comments …
jiung teasing p1ece on fromm 😭
🐭: i’ve downloaded 150 vids of this travel youtuber i fell for & i’m binge-watching him. i kinda want to keep him to myself. ahjussi.. he’s more like a hyung-nim (brother) than ahjussi (uncle) tho
🧩: is he handsome??
🐭: oh yes. how did you know? you startled me, i thought you already knew. let me watch a little more & if there are any vids with guests, i’ll ask the company right away
🧩: if he’s handsome, i’m even more interested..
🐭: why does everyone get even more curious when i say he’s handsome? [send youtube link of piwon’s blow up video] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ [laughing photo] ha this is fun. i’ll finish binge-watching all his vids first & then think about (sharing) it

they look like they’re filming a bl adaption called like "The Handsome Office Dog Won't Leave Me Alone!"
if they “met downstairs” together why did they wait to argue about their outfits until they were in the office 🫥 no one is buying this 🫥

i don't have an issue with people downloading my fics for their own use, but i think uploading them and making them widely available on a site i have not agreed to have them on without my consent is a little bit different

Quick Halloweekend update! AO3 has said that it might be down for up to four weeks, but we are *not* cancelling our event
Instead, we are inviting fic writers to post excerpts/snippets of your fics! Once AO3 is back (hopefully before the comeback), we'll update you again ❤️🖤
Leave your address in the replies if you want to be mailed jitak halloween fic since they’re canceling jitak making out in hetslop costumes this year
OCTOBER FOOLS????
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
