โKids are resilientโ is one of the most B.S lines to come out of the pandemic.
If kids are so resilient, why do we have a generation of adults still talking about childhood trauma?
Kids are vulnerable. Their mental health is just the easiest to ignore.
Be careful of telling kids they have a "disorder."
They might believe it.
Make sure it's not a normal response to screen addiction, exhaustion, and a sedentary lifestyle.
How do you tell the difference?
You assess physical health before making a mental health diagnosis.
GP's in Australia took a 6 month course.
To prescribe ADHD medication to children.
With no assessment of sleep, diet, exercise, or screen time.
Based on an assessment created 25 years ago.
By people with financial conflicts.
Australia's future economy?
Pharmaceuticals.

This November we're bringing together coaches, gym owners, and health practitioners.
Our Mission:
A new model for community health.
What if teens knew how to breathe?
What if parents could manage stress?
What if health was proactive?
That's the future we're building.
The world will change at warp speed over the next 12 months.
The future belongs to builders, innovators, and entrepreneurs
Eliminate every cynic and coward from your circle - they'll only hold you down.
Build the world that you want to see.
Be fierce, leave your legacy.
You will never teach health in schools, because most schools are not healthy.
Kids are not stupid.
They need healthy adults, in healthy environments, to model health.
The future of health?
No child will be medicated for wanting to move.
The desire for labels will be replaced with value for human individuality.
That's the future we're building.
Beyond the Gym starts Nov. 8th.

You will never reform a broken school system.
We can always educate our children.
You will never reform a broken healthcare system.
We can always build a healthier community.
The path to change never relies on the current system.
It obsoletes it.
By labeling natural responses to declining health (stress, anxiety, depression) a "disorder" what lesson are we teaching a generation of kids?
That health is something you have.
Instead of something you DO.
Health takes work.
Discomfort is a prompt to put the work in.
We're teaching students the Science of Sleep this week.
๐ง Sleep is the foundation for brain health.
๐ง Emotional processing, memory, and learning take place during sleep.
๐ง 7 in 10 kids get insufficient sleep.
๐ง Depression when exhausted isn't a "disorder" - it's biology.
When kids feel anxious, we teach them to manage anxiety.
Not numb it with pills.
When kids feel tired, we teach them how to improve sleep quality.
Not sedate them with pills.
When exercise, diet, and lifestyle are modeled, kids get education before medication.
Is your child intelligent, creative, and physically active?
I regret to inform you, but this is now a neurodevelopment condition.
We've officially accomplished what Orwell predicted in 1984.
Health means illness. Intelligence is a disability. Movement is a disorder.
2+2 = 5
The term mental health is increasingly dangerous.
It's being used to label health issues among children as "disorders."
When kids are sedentary, screen-addicted, and exhausted...
They're supposed to feel anxious, unfocused, and depressed.
Not a "disorder."
It's order.
Labeling millions of kids with "disorders" reflects one thing.
The collapse of accountability among adults.
Unless sleep, exercise, nutrition, and social connection are prioritized parents don't have "disordered children."
Children have disengaged parents.
Labeling millions of kids with "disorders" reflects one thing.
The lack of accountability from adults.
Unless you've prioritized their sleep, exercise, nutrition, and social connection you don't have a "disordered child."

The future of health?
People choose practitioners who are healthy.
Not sedentary doctors with a blood pressure cuff in one hand, and a prescription pad in the other.
That's the future we're building.

The future of health?
Schools that look like prisons are replaced with real education centers.
Kids learn to breathe, eat, sleep, and exercise. Not sit still and memorize.
