BREAKING: 🇷🇴 Another commercial vessel has been struck by a drone and sunk in the Black Sea, approximately 13 nautical miles off Constanța, Romania.
The vessel, KHORYV (IMO 8138712), was sailing under the flag of the Comoros Islands from Ereğli, Türkiye, to Sulina, Romania, carrying ferrous materials.
According to Romania’s Naval Authority, 13 crew members were on board: 10 Ukrainian nationals and three Azerbaijani nationals. Ministry of Health, report one confirmed death, three crew members missing and nine injured.
The vessel reportedly capsized and sank following the impact. Nine crew members were reportedly rescued from the water by another commercial vessel nearby.
Romanian authorities have launched a major search-and-rescue operation, deploying Border Police vessels and the Artemis, operated by Romania’s Agency for Saving Human Life at Sea (ARSVOM).
A Black Hawk helicopter was also requested, but heavy rain and adverse weather conditions prevented it from reaching the scene.

The combo of higher interest rates and high energy prices are a massive disincentive to buy a home, new auto, appliances as well as consumer energy.
Looks like yield curve will be inverting and a nasty recession is in the cards.
Trying to fix high energy price inflation with interest rates given the shortages are due to war… well that’s just deciding to punish everyone with variable rate mortgages.
New home starts are likely to soon crash to 2008 like lows.
GLUT
Copper held in LME warehouses in the United States has climbed to 169,475 metric tons, the most since April 2014.
That is about 62% of all LME copper inventory, most of it in New Orleans and Baltimore.
COMEX copper inventories have risen for 23 straight days to a record 720,712 metric tons.
The US Department of Commerce has proposed an additional 15% import tariff on refined copper from 2027, rising to 30% in 2028.
Washington has yet to announce whether the tariffs will go ahead.
