Learn something this time. Don’t switch to another VC or private equity funded app with no published business model. The era of “trust us bro, we’ll figure it out later is dead”
At this point, the SaaS DEapocolpse is that where just having an app on the internet where someone actually understands the security code and can continually patch newfound holes and keep dependencies up to date for more than a week becomes a rare and valuable thing.
Interesting how the people who used to say that 'software engineer' devalued the word 'engineer', don't have much to say about the rise of 'financial engineering'. You'd think associating 'engineering' with exploiting crime-adjacent loopholes and scams would be a bigger deal.
looking forward to code reviewing and shipping the Kinopio performance improvements to zooming and scrolling I'm working on. They're especially noticeable on safari mac and iOS

Perpetually surprised to see Gen Z likes so much stuff i grew up with. Usually the next gen thinks their parent's stuff is hokey.
I see why the 80's-90's has been the exception though... a wildly creative and expressive era that deeply contrasts today's millennial gray world.

Anne kedi, doğum yaptıktan sonra yavrusunu veterinere getirerek ona en iyi şekilde bakılmasını sağladı.
The side-benefit of promoting new features using screencaptures with no editing is that if something doesn't work smoothly enough to demo then I'm compelled to fix it for real, rather than hide the seams with fancy video editing tricks
There’ll be a Kinopio box in there!
USER EXPERIENCE is a physical gallery for new & niche software and hardware.
Physical boxes for apps that only exist online. Hardware you can actually touch. Rare merch and zines.
A love letter to tech.
Open for #SFTechWeek Union Square SF.

Are you distrustful by default of trying new web software because you've been burned by tools you rely on getting sunset or enshittifying?
☎️ would anyone be interested in testing out a special wip kinopio desktop macOS app that uses half the memory? If so let me know~
how fun to see this on the Are.na Explore feed. This is some UI work I did for futureland.tv journal settings back in the day :)
