Journalists call it "invasion" or "war" Propagandists call it "Russia's military campaign in Ukraine"

„Fuck AfD“? (1/3)

Russian journalist and Nobel laureate Dmitry Muratov talks to me about the war in Ukraine, repression at home and the man who’s been in power in Russia for more than a quarter of a century: Vladimir Putin. bbc.com/news/articles/c74grm…

Quote: "This is how USAID spent your tax dollars" I think people have lost the will to try fact-check this guy due to the volume of lies he spreads. Also it's actually pretty difficult with this image and quite time consuming. It just happens I had nothing better to do. /1

Kirill Petrenko, Chief Conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the winner of Denmark's prestigious Léonie Sonning Music Prize, will donate the entire prize money - DKK 1 million (€134,000) - to organizations supporting Ukraine. "For me, especially as a Russian-born artist, it's really completely shocking that all these wars are going on, particularly now in Ukraine, where people are still trying to live their lives while protecting and defending their sovereignty and their future. That's why I made the decision to donate the money to different organizations that are supporting Ukraine, particularly those helping children who lost their families during the war, and also to some organizations that are trying to restore cultural sites in Ukraine destroyed by the war - churches, orphanages, and other cultural facilities. I think this is what is desperately needed right now," Kirill Petrenko said. Thank you for standing with Ukraine!

Pete Hegseth in 2024: " I've been a recovering neocon for six years now...The foolishness with which we ricocheted around the world intervening, thinking it was in our best interest when really we just overturned the table and created something worse."

Difficult to describe the sheer shameless hypocrisy of these rightwingers:
First things first. Why did Pretti bring a gun and ammo where he knew he would likely be part of a group physically confronting ICE during a lawful execution of a detention and removal order?   Why was he even carrying his weapon? And rather than these scenes playing out again and again, organized for the specific purpose of obstructing and confronting federal law enforcement from carrying out its lawful duties, why do local and state Democrat officials refuse to allow local law enforcement to help identify the location of dangerous illegal aliens and turn them over to federal officials or assist in crowd control? None of this would be going on but for the intentional acts of sabotage by local and state Democrat officials who are not only obstructing federal law enforcement but urging on the mobs and inciting violence with the most toxic demagoguery and propaganda. And the media gaslight it all.

I posted about this incredible documentary when I met Talankin a few months ago. It’s in wider release now and deserves all acclaim and attention. Please see it and support it and learn about real life in Putin‘s Russia, a police state preparing deeply for permanent war.
A Russian schoolteacher secretly filmed his own workplace as it was turned into a war propaganda machine. That footage is now part of a documentary shortlisted for an Oscar. Here’s the story behind ‘Mr Nobody in Russia’:👇 [1/12]
