which is why i built this, because even then the updates/questions/blocked-status get lost in chat over time

Guided Reviews went viral a bunch last week.
FYI, there is an open-source version and also the ability to send portable guided reviews as html files.

Plannotator 0.22.0 is out.
Code Review (is not dead yet):
- Guided reviews give you a list of changes with semantic overviews, ordered by importance & where you need to spend your time reviewing. Inspired by @linear, this works for local and PR changes . You don't need the best models or high reasoning levels to use this!
- Pi and Copilot are added as agent review providers.
- A new default `git status` view is added.
- A new `commits` view is added to easily navigate all commits and view their descriptions+changes.

I'll post an obnoxious number of "@" because it's wild how cool the tech is getting.
We're close to a spot where you can scale out a fleet of agents and have streaming PRs coming in with best-in-class review tools. The pieces of @Steve_Yegge's software factory and Gastown are slowly coming to life.
Practically, it's guided @plannotator review (recommended by @dillon_mulroy) running on Pi Durable (from @earendilworks, @badlogicgames and @mattzcarey) hosted via Cloudflare Durable Objects.

.@plannotator I can't thank you enough for this. Just got set up with Cloudflare + Artifacts beta and this is perfect for my workflow.

Herdr Annotate, full throttle!
This is now a @herdrdev plugin with an optional full Plannotator.ai experience as a TUI. Built to:
- Annotate Agent Messages (e.g. grill sessions)
- Annotate Files (e.g. plans, specs, etc)
- Create a native feedback loop with agents
- Open as popover or pane
- Mouse or keybindings
Human in the loop. All in the terminal.

If you're using wayfinder from @mattpocockuk, pair it with herdr-annotate from @plannotator for the grilling sessions. Highlight what you want to comment on, send the whole batch back in one go. Way better than scrolling up and down.
(sorry for the blur, IP and whatnot 😄)

dang! @plannotator firing on all cylinders.
this specific workflow is one that’s always annoyed me: agent responds with slightly larger output and i had multiple specific things to say to that response.
i have to keep scrolling back and forth, responding individually.
pi’s recent tui full screen mode helped a lot, with the editor and footer pinned at the bottom but you were still bound by your screen display dimensions (too narrow and you went back into the scroll dance).
the other way to solve this was using an extension like rpiv-ask-user-question, but even that felt a little restrictive.
but this annotator type workflow from within the terminal feels like it’ll beat em all. got to also say @herdrdev is like the gift that keeps on giving.

Annotate the last agent message, useful for things like @mattpocockuk grill-me / grilling sessions

My new video on AI Coding Daily channel.
Plannotator: Code Review with Agentic Feedback Loop

In this video, I'm trying @plannotator for reviewing the code written by Cursor Composer even before doing the git commit/PR.

idk how to even review code without plannotator anymore. It's the most essential tooling I have encountered recently.
- Inline feedback
- Easy adverserial code review
- Code tour that walks you through changes
- Guided reviews (Opencode free models works really well for this)

i am realling liking the combo of @mattpocockuk's grilling with @plannotator's last-message annotation, saves me so much time and quoting!

Code review: not dead yet!
Plannotator 0.27.0 is out.
Code review is not dead yet.
- Calldiffs by @tanishqk is integrated as an optional lens
- Guides support custom instructions
- Tailscale remote reviews - thanks @nikuscs for the POC that kicked this off & @freak4pc for final encouragement
- Customize review panel: turn off viewed, git add, and disable lens for cleaner UI
Pi - BREAKING:
Pi plan mode has moved from `/plannotator` to `/plannotator-plan-mode` to avoid confusion
CI pipeline hardened.

Effective html patterns and animations to use in your agent product development processes

Having more fun hacking on a slop fork of @plannotator. This is a nice way to visualize the scope of your agents' commits as they work through an implementation program.
Nothing novel here, but I'm finding codebase visualizations to be very useful. In the age of moving our understanding up a level from individual lines of code, why don't more code review tools provide this? It could be a good feature in @theo's T3Code.
Recently started using @plannotator’s Guide review feature, and honestly, it’s a game changer.
Instead of throwing you into a traditional file tree and making you work out how everything connects, it groups changes by logical flow and intended behaviour.
My sanity restored

@dillon_mulroy got me on @plannotator like 3 months ago, nothing has lived up to it even in the slightest in terms of iterating on a plan.

On reviewing PRs, really enjoying:
1. visual attachments (images, recordings)
2. Being able to quickly navigate and comment on those in the same review as the code. (via @plannotator )
