The takeaway from this game should be that the gap between Iowa and Iowa State as football programs has never been smaller.
Iowa State proved that it can compete with anyone on the schedule,

Let's clarify some things, 20 hours later:
- I'm not saying to just jump ship and leave the Big 12. When the media rights deals are open for business, Tech should put feelers out to bigger conferences (SEC/B10) and legitimately pursue that angle.
- I still don't think Yormark came off looking strong yesterday. He literally tried to bully someone into not asking a question (or it appeared that way).
- I'm excited for this season, let's spot the ball!
