Permanent Representative (PR) of Pakistan with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) serves as the official channel between the WMO and the Government of Pakistan, representing the country on all technical and policy matters related to weather, climate, and water. He is also entrusted with representing Pakistan at the World Meteorological Congress, coordinating with national stakeholders, ensuring Pakistan’s compliance with WMO standards a nd data exchange obligations, and safeguarding the country’s interests in global meteorological cooperation, early warning systems and climate action.
