Our similar schools tool has been the most visited page on the website this week, so here’s a reminder of what it does. If you lead a primary school in England, you can type in your school name, URN, postcode or local authority and it will find schools with a similar pupil intake to yours. It matches on pupil numbers, free school meals, EAL and SEND, then lets you compare those schools’ KS2 results, absence and Ofsted reports side by side. It’s handy when you want to find a school to visit, see how others in a similar context are getting on, or give governors some useful comparisons. It isn’t a league table, and it’s separate from the DfE’s official similar-schools groups. It just helps you find schools that look like yours so you can decide who to learn from. It covers state-funded full primary schools in England (Reception to Year 6). Try it here: headteacherchat.com/tools/si… Let us know which schools it finds for you, and whether there’s anything you’d like us to add.
